I'm so out of here, I never thought you'd do something like this," Eric said shaking his head in disapointment.
"No Eric wait!" I said grabbing onto his arm.
"What do you want?" Eric asked exasperated. What do I want? What am I even doing? This is such a mess.
"Just go into my room please. Give me a few minutes and I'll explain everything," I pleaded.
"Don't make me regret it," he said quietly as he walked past me and into the house. I closed the door once he went in. Now I had to deal with Jacob and see how I'd explain things to him. Ugh why are boys so damn complicated???
"Are you ready to go?" Jacob asked giving me a boyish smile. Damn he was making this hard on me.
"Well about that, I can't go," I smiled awkwardly.
"What do you mean? You're dressed up and everything,"
"Yeah I mean I'm ready but I can't go. I'm having a last minute emergency. Look I was really looking forward to going on this date with you but this is really important. Are you busy next weekend?" I asked trying to hint towards getting him to take me to Hawaii.
"Well I do have somewhere to be this weekend but I don't know if it's your thing," he shrugged his shoulders.
"Well what is it?" I asked even though I obviously already know.
"Well I'm going to one of the fashion shoots in Oahu with my dad but it's really boring. I'm going because I have to. I don't think you'll have fun,"
"What! I love fashion shows! I mean come on I'm a model remember, I live for these events." I managed a smile and an enthusiastic face even though the last place I'd want to spend my free weekend is at another fashion shoot.
"Seriously? I always thought you'd be the type of girl who only participated in these things because she had to," he laughed. Oh you don't know the half of it Jacob...
"Oh no! I love fashion, it's a great way to express your self and show creativity. Not to mention I love pink!" I added batting my eyelashes and twirly my hair for extra effect.
"Well if you're ok with being gone the whole weekend then I'll pick you up Friday night because that's when the flight it. Don't bail on me this time around. My ego can only take so much," Jacob joked.
"I won't I promise. As long as I'm back before Monday I'm sure my brother won't have any problems with me going," I smiled before saying bye to him and heading back inside.
~~~"Absolutely no,"
"But Georgie!!" I pleaded.
"Don't you Georgie me, you know this isn't happening," my brother shook his head several times.
"This is the only way I'm getting closer to Mr. Callahan. Don't you want me to complete my mission?"
"Yeah when it's taking place at a snobby store downtown not thousands of miles across the Pacific Ocean where no one can help or back you up if you get in trouble," he stubbornly stated.
"It's a stupid fashion show! What's the worst that could happen!"
"Charlee you're a spy. You should know that on a mission anything could happen. You're not ready to go out on your own without the rest of your team or a partner at least,"
"If I take someone with me, would you let me go?"
"I still wouldn't be happy but my mind would be more at peace if you had someone else with you," he said and I just sighed. It would be asking too much if I asked Jacob if I could bring someone else with me. I mean I'm lucky he'e even taking me. This whole mission has been freaking luck from the start and I don't want to screw it up now that I've actually got a chance at finding some real spy worthy information.
