I never knew exactly why, but I could never sense the presence of anyone in my immediate family when they were nearby. Needless to say, I was quite startled when Abis creeped up on me like that. Though that was his traditional greeting, I had never gotten too used to it or fond of it. In fact, I never really liked when he came to see me as I knew the only reason he did was because mother told him to or he wanted to toy with me. I know it probably makes me a bad sibling, but then again he has never put any effort into being a good sibling to me either. Slowly, I turn to face him and his attempted intimidating presence.

"You came earlier than expected, what message has mother told you to relay to me?" I ask bluntly as he begins to frown at me, probably unamused that I was not still trembling after being surprised by him. "Message? There is no message. Can I not come to spend time with my youngest sister and help her with her tasks," he said in an obviously fake sweet tone as he forced a smile. I thought for a moment to myself before I replied, there were two ways I could respond to this only one might be more risky than the other. "So, this is just a wild guess, but your girlfriend left you didn't she?" I boldly ask as I wait for him to answer. In just a few short seconds, the intimidating aura he was trying so hard to exert fades and is replaced by an aura of gloom. That and his silence confirmed the answer.

He walked by my side as we headed back to my house and he was silent for most of the way. It had to have been very recent since he was this sad, but it did not worry me since this happens occasionally and he would get over it in a week or two. Still, he was being very immature by letting something like this get to him. This is because in the past year alone he has had over thirty different girlfriends and here he is sulking because another eventually got tired of him while there are thousands of others who live most of their lives without a significant other. At least now I know he probably will not harass me as much while he visits, it also would not hurt for me to be nice to him during his depressed state even though I know that he will forget my actions after he recovers.

"Hey, cheer up Abis! I'm sure you'll find another girlfriend soon enough," I reassured him, though he did not seem to satisfied with what I said. "I don't just want another girlfriend, I want a permanent one. You probably wouldn't understand, being completely oblivious to how love works and all. I mean sure, I could use my looks and my charms to easily get another girlfriend, but even if I do they always leave eventually," he sulked as I thought a little about what he said. The thing about me being oblivious to love was not at all true as I had worked on games with love being a major part of the plot, seen several romantic movies and have even watched several acquaintances fall in love with each other over time. I simply have never felt those kinds of feelings for anyone before, not that I never will, but I currently have not experienced them. "Well then, instead of working on how you look why not focus more on improving your personality?" I suggest only to realize seconds later how rude that sounded.

He scoffed at my implication before muttering something along the lines of how he wished I had to deal with the same pain. Speaking of looks, I then remembered that we were walking in an open area and he was not disguised at all, aside from wearing human clothes over his body. "Ah Abis, you do realize that you're not wearing any kind of disguise right? Not to mention your normal appearance stands out much more than mine, you really don't look human at all even with the clothes you are wearing," I inform him in a serious tone as he starts to chuckle. "Oh that's fine, as you have probably realized by now the humans here are quite gullible and very dense. Now if I wasn't wearing this t-shirt and pants, people might start to question, but they'll forget they ever saw me in a matter of seconds shortly after. To them, I'm just a dude dressed up in alien cosplay on my way to some convention or something," Abis stated as he began to bear a cocky grin. Technically that would work, for a little while at least; however, if
was going to stay here for an extended period of time people probably would eventually become suspicious of why he was always in a costume. Or maybe just start to think that he is creepy.
