Even though sleeping well was an impossible task for Johnny last night, the older son of the Seo couple didn't admit to Taeyong how tired he was or commented on his mother's strange call during the night. He adjusted Jinwoo's clothes to take him to school while Taeyong finished breakfast. Having his friend out there was a lot of help, since the Seo brothers didn't wake up late and Johnny would have a decent breakfast for the first time since his brother moved in with him. He spent his money at the bakery next door to feed Jinwoo in the healthiest way possible in the mornings due to the delays, however, because he was so worried, he ended up forgetting about himself.
The aroma of rice and grilled tofu that took over the kitchen was extremely pleasant. Taeyong cooked as if it was the easiest thing in the world, which even impressed Johnny.
"I think you chose the wrong career" he said after pulling out the chair for Jinwoo to sit at the table.
"Cooking feels good and calms me down, but that's it" he laughed briefly.
"We'll see if the food is as good as the smell, right Jinwoo?"
"Probably tastier than yours" the little boy smiled widely.
"Ouch..." Taeyong didn't mind laughing at his friend already setting the table.
"I already told you that it was the restaurant food" Johnny was gaping and indignant. "I didn't cook it...!"
"Johnny, children are the most sincere beings on Earth. Just let it go."
"What a disrespect."
"I'm sure he didn't want to hurt your feelings."
As soon as everyone was served, Johnny recognized the photographer's cooking skills.
"There was a lot of stuff in your fridge, I hope it's not a problem having cooked so much" Taeyong put a slice of bulgogi on the rice spoon of the youngest. "Eat a lot, Jinwoo."
"I not used to cooking, the food was going to be wasted. What you did here was a blessing" Johnny reached for a boiled egg. "Your food really tastes better than mine, incredible, incredible."
"You'll spi on everything like that!" Jinwoo frowned at his brother.
Taeyong almost choked on the rice he was chewing.
"Spi?" then he laughed after taking a sip of water.
"Yeah, now he's making up words" Johnny looked at his brother. "Jinwoo, it's Spit not Spi."
Taeyong was surrounded by a different sensation at that moment, something he had forgotten about what it was like a few days ago. He got so used to being alone in his house that he no longer remembered how warm it was to have someone to share the day with, someone to talk to during meals. Even though it was a great moment, Taeyong prepared to say goodbye after accepting Johnny's ride when he took Jinwoo to school.
"Have a nice day Jinwoo" he waved.
"Thank you Taeyong hyung" the little boy bent down and took Johnny's hand.
"Let me take you there before Yuta arrives"
"Okay."
And it really didn't take long for Johnny to return even though Taeyong wasn't in a hurry. The destination was now the photographer's house, he needed to change clothes and get his camera.
"So tell me more about this event that you're going to work today."
"I looked it up before accepting since several photographers were hired. I discovered that it is a famous competition, so much so that it will be televised as well" Taeyong checked his messages on his phone while commenting. "It's a dance contest as I understand it and some celebrities will perform as well."
