HOURS AGO

Back in upstate NY, things went more awry than at Lake George Wild. The coincidence was that while Emma had been on her own agenda, exercising her freedom in terrorizing a family, her murders sparked a baffling alarm in Buffalo city.

Hours ago, Melinda came across the remains of the house where her friends were after Emma's departure.

Hours ago, Pascal found his husband's bones along with the 'DEVIL IN WHITE' insignia.

Hours ago, Martin went back to his home all alone, gazing at memories of his old life with suicidal thoughts being whispered beneath his shoulders. Kenny was dead and gone, but before, Det. Towers and Cuddling got his vivid description of Emma.

Hours ago, Betsy the waitress became absolutely traumatized when the police found her husband's remaining torso with 'DEVIL IN WHITE' carved on his belly.

And hours ago, Detective Towers and Cuddling had interrogated Kimberly in an unexpected home visit, owing to the fact that she had been the last one to call Jenny on the exact time of her death. It took them quite a long time to realize this led to nowhere.

The most hilarious of them all, were the dumb Medical examiners from the morgue. The two douchebags were so drunk and worn-out on the job that they completely forgot the evidence they had found on Emma's first victim, Father Moss. It was only a little seconds after the Summers had gone for the vacation till the examiners remembered what they found on Father Moss' corpse.

Examining him again, their theory was proven, and this frightened them. Towers and Cuddling were tied up with FBI lieutenant Leslie Hernandez, discussing the possibility of that Emma Woodburn might have really escaped the Baltimore Asylum.

What did really happen was that a blurred footage caught by a hidden security camera showed Emma escape the apartment where she last murdered Melinda's friends; despite Leslie trying to prove that this theory was correct, Towers doubted it, so did Cuddling.

The douchebag examiners eventually revealed that there had been urine on the dead body of Father Moss, left by Emma days ago. It was confirmed. The DNA matched, the bartender's and Kenny's descriptions were proven, and so did the footage. Not only did Towers and Cuddling want to murder the Medical examiners for this worthless delay, but the urge to shoot themselves with a shotgun felt about right.

When the Summers had departed, Cowen woke up from a midday slumber nightmare of the blind man's warning, "When you see the Devil In A White Dress, you better run." He had got mixed emotions, one with him being so relieved that Melinda finally agreed to come home and stay for a limited time, and then the fact that he believed he understood Emma's delusional and narcissistic mind.

It felt like a never-ending journey for sure, but borderline personality disorder seemed to be a fair and satisfying solution. If only Cowen was there to see her real parents, things could have ended differently.

There was this question Cowen stopped bothering to ask himself; what if the death of her real parents traumatized poor Emma so much, that this tragedy inculcated the sense of both sadism and masochism in her during her childhood?

It was obvious Emma didn't want anyone to see how devastated she had been not getting to know more of where and whom she originated from. So, this concealed rage was channeled into the books she wrote and published. This rage was waiting to burst out and be free, so when the backlash of her violently grotesque novels prevented anyone from publishing them again, Emma decided to let out that rage by killing.

And once Emma had gotten the taste of first blood, she decided that it was what she was meant to be. Though his particular reason might not have been confirmed, Cowen realized that all this wasn't the mild and attractive woman's descent into absolute madness. It was the origin story of an unhinged serial killer. This was definitely the beginning.
