I get home and I'm exhausted. After that walk in the park Dan did kiss me a lot, which was unnecessary and sorta ended the night in a bad way, but I could tell he just wanted to impress me the entire night.
"Oh for your information, this doesn't mean we are anything.... yet." I breathe out the last word.
"I know. But thank you for giving me a chance." Dan awkwardly rubs the back of his head. I kiss his cheek before going inside my room and painstakingly removing all my makeup and layers of clothes.
"Mommy....? Can I come in?" Tyler nocks on the door. I'm not completely dressed but Tyler has seen me completely naked as we've showered together a few times.
"Of course but nobody else." I call back pulling on a shirt.
"Mommy I missed you. Don't leave all day." Tyler hugs me.
"Ty it's ok. I just went to dinner with Dan." I smile and push her hair back.
"Oh.. mommy can you sing for me?" She looks down ashamed for asking.
"Of course. Let me just put some pants on and then I'll sing as much as you want." I kiss her forehead and her face lights up.
"Thank you mommy. So much!" She hugs me before trying to climb on my bed, which is way too tall for her.
I slip on my pajama pants and grab by ukulele which is hanging next to my door. Help Tyler up and sit next to her and play.
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy, when skies are gray. You'll never know dear how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away." I sing along, Tyler laughs as I sing to her.
"Mommy can you sing the lava song?" Tyler suggests. I nod, not noticing that the door has opened.
I sway a bit while singing, which makes Tyler giggle.
The crowd around the door is in awe as they haven't heard my voice in years, and it has matured well.
"Mommy play the song you sing when you are sad?"
"No. I'm not singing that." I poke her nose.
"Do the one with the zombies then?" She gives me a puppy eyes. I can't say no to them.
"Oh fine..."
"I like that one. I want to be that in love." Tyler sighs.
"One day youll find someone for you. And you might now right away if they are right, but you'll get there." I run my fingers through her hair. Tyler yawns and lies down.
After I finish singing I notice two things. Tyler is asleep... and I've been watched the entire time.
