Bianca

I watch, as her eyes flickered with the shock. Silence passed us, as I twiddled with my thumbs, waiting for her to answer my question. Abruptly, she spoke, "Bianca...I didn't...It was obvious?"I keep my gaze on Jennifer for another two seconds, before taking another sip of the sage tea offered to me. The drink was warm. So different from the situation we are in. I let out a breath, smiling as the smoke circled my vision. I replied to her, once more, "I don't blame you. Lewis is extraordinary."
By that time, she was biting her nail on her thumb, her dark eyes glued to her bare feet. She was completely ignoring the tea she has prepared for herself. I, on the other hand, had my eyes roving. I looked around the apartment, it wasn't small, nor large. It was alright. We three fit nicely in the place. Of course, a problem was set for us yesterday when we moved in, suddenly there being three persons to stay in the room for just one.
Jennifer's gaze turned back to me, "I'm trying to get rid of these feelings, Bianca. Okay?"
I continued to drink the brew. I had no idea what to say after that. It wasn't the phrase I was expecting. I stayed hushed, finally setting my eyes back to the sunrise in front of me. Instinctively, I was running my fingers on my tangled up hair, trying to set the strands down. It was fairly easy, my hair is easy to work with. I felt her gaze turn away, and suddenly, was drinking her sage tea, as if realizing it was there, cooling down. I smile, "He must be witnessing immense jetlag."
Her eyes suddenly reverted to me, and laughed, awkwardly, "Lewis had a hard time sleeping last night, I could hear the sink opening and closing, the tv turning on and off last night. I think he finally got to sleep about 2 hours ago."
I laugh with her, my eyes smiling, "He'll be a tough cookie to deal with later."
"Definitely."

I sit on the bed, tapping non-stop on my laptop. I was writing a story on a famous website, it was about a girl fulfilling her dreams, but stops abruptly when she realizes her love is her's.
My dear was snoring soundly beside me, still asleep. It was already 2 PM, and the poor boy is still asleep. He hasn't wakened up for lunch at all. The jet lag must have really affected him. I stop writing for a moment to gaze upon him. His blonde hair was so messy, curling up underneath his head. He looked so peaceful. I reached out to him, petting his hair. Suddenly, he shifted and fluttered his eyes open.
He yawned, covering his mouth. He sat up and sighed. I put my laptop down and scooted closer to him. He looked at me with those green eyes, and he grinned, drowsily. I reached out my hand to continue petting his hair. Like an animal, he lowered his head at me. I feel my face get hotter before he tackled me down to the soft bed.
I laughed, loudly, as he tickled me on my sides. I tried, miserably to escape from his grasp, trying, but gently to kick him off. He was laughing with me, but more at my failure of an escape. His blonde hair was on top of mine, yet he looked so happy, so carefree with me.
Slowly, he was stopping, my laugh was dying down, yet I still had my smile plastered on my face. He lowered down, closer to me. I reach out to cup his face, still having his goofy grin.
He started to gently kiss my neck, as I giggled. He had the same smile, I could feel it. I continued to giggle, softly with my hand on top of his head.
Finally, he stopped and pulled away.
"I love you, my dear," I breathed out.
His eyes turned to a smile, his grin softening. He opened his mouth and replied, "I love you too, Bia."
I keep my eyes on him, and he kept his eyes on me.
I felt something watching, and so I turn my blue eyes to the door, and there, I see Jennifer. Her dark eyes were wide open, with tears dripping on her face.
Somehow, her eyes widened more when she realizes I was watching her. She ran away, making sure not to make too much noise, just as Lewis turned to see what I'm looking at. She was gone. "What was that?" he asked.
I didn't answer his question. I felt bad for Jennifer. My friend. But that doesn't mean I should have to suffer for her.
"Hey," I call out for him. He turned to me. "Let's give you lunch," I continued. He grinned and had gotten off of me. I stand up, getting the pc on the desk. As I save my chapter, he asks for the time, which I voluntarily answered. His mouth went wide open as he realizes the time. "Did you and Jennie wait for me?"
I chuckled, "Maybe."
"Oh fuck," he says, as he went ahead to grab a long-sleeved white v-neck shirt and slim denim pants from his closet. I wore my long-sleeved purple pouf dress on top of my sleeveless top and brushed my hair as he puts on his rubber shoes. He went out to the other room, calling Jennifer, "Jennie! I'm taking us out for lunch!"
She was silent for a moment, "Yea, hold up!"
I tuck a strand of my hair behind my ear and put on at least an inch high eggplant colored heel. Hearing Jennifer trying hard to hide the fact she's hurt has put a toll on me. I want to help her, without losing the one I love the most.
Lewis rushed back to our room and lifted me so suddenly in a bride fashion. I yelped and held onto his neck for support as he carried down the stairs. I turn red as he grinned and winked at me. He sat me on the burgundy sofa and sat next to me. Just then, Jennifer ran down to us from the stairs in white shorts and a mint green tee with the words 'All Legs No Dairy'
"Another drag race reference?" Lewis asks, chuckling. She giggled, "Yup!"
"Are you not feeling cold?" I ask, this time. She smiled, "Not anymore!"
My dear and I stood up and followed Jennifer as we walked out for lunch at 2 AM.
