CHAPTER 9

Skyler and I were standing with Bella at her truck,talking about Luci.I forgave Skyler and Bella,and we're back to our usualsister love.I glanced at Ed on the other side of the lot staring at us.I'm guessing his chat with Bells didn't go very well.Suddenly I hear screeching as I whip my head to see Taylor's van sliding across the lot straight towards us.Time seemed to stop as I grabbed Bella and Skyler's wrists,pulling them to the side,out of the van's way.But I couldn't react fast enough to move myself.My lower half got stuck between Bella's truck and Taylor's van.I let out an ear piercing scream as I feel my bones crack from the preassure.This grabs everyone's attention and everyone on the lot rushes to me.I turn to Skyler and Bella who were frantic and crying.I hear the sounds of an Ambulance approaching but I couldn't keep myself awake long enough to see the medics rush to me.

~Time Skip~

My head feels heavy and it fucking hurts.I slowly open my eyes.I'm instantly met with Carlisle's face.
''Oh yeah.I forgot you're a doctor.'' I giggle then wince.
''Take it easy.You're pelvis was crushed and you broke your right leg.We had to rush you into surgery.You've been out for a week.'' He explained
''How's Taylor?Is he okay?'' I asked with hopeful eyes
''He's alright.Just a few scratches and a light concussion''
''Good.What about Bella and Skyler?''
''Not a scratch thanks to you.But they were frantic and visited everyday.''
''Okay good.But tell me one more thing.Has Bella and Edward hit it off yet?'' I ask,eager to hear his answer.Carlisle chuckled.
''Yes they have''
''Yay!Where's Edward?I need to tell him 'I told you so''' I say eagerly
''They're on their way.You have impeccable timing.Visiting hours just began.'' He smiled.
''Everyone else has been visiting as well.'' He added.The door opened and I saw my sister's sad faces,followed by my big brother's sad face and the Cullen's sad faces.
''I swear,you guys look like you just came from my funeral'' I smile and their heads snap up.Before anyone could engulfme in hugs,I raised my hand,stopping them in their tracks.
''Before anyone crushes more of my bones,I have something important to say to Edward.'' I said.Ed stepped to my bed.I cleared my throught and pointed at him.
''I FUCKING TOLD YOU SO!!'' I yell.He burst out laughing with everyone else.

~Time Skip~

Two days later of nothing than sitting on my ass,Carlisle discharged me with a pair of crutches and pain killers.Now,at this current point of time, I was laughing so hard at Edward who just introduced himself to Charlie.They waved goodbye to Charlie and I stopped laughing and sat up.
''Wait!You forgot me!'' I say to Edward,stretching my arms like a little kid,waiting to be picked up.He looked at Charlie for permission and he nodded.Ed picked me up off the floor,bridal style and I giggled.
''Yay!'' I softly yell.Ed and Bells just shake their heads at me and smile.

We climb into Emmy's Jeep with me on the back.Ed drives to a clearing where I can see Sky,Luci and the other Cullens in the middle.Luci speeds to us and he takes me off the back,carrying me to the rest.It looks like they're gonna play baseball.
''Isn't it the American pass time?''  I ask my big brother as I cling to him
''It is but this is the only time we vamps can play''
''Why?'' I ask,tilting my head in confusion.He laugh

He places me on a bolder close to the field,and handed me an extra ball and glove to keep myself from jumping up and playing with them.Bella and Skyler are the umpire's.I kinda didn't pay attention until it was Jazzy's turn.
''Whoohoo!Go Jazzy!'' I could see his body slightly shaking with laughter.Ali threw the ball at him and I finally saw why they needed the thunder.Ed and Emmy both went for the ball.Ed catched it but didn't look where he threw the ball back.It was heading straight towards me.I held up my glove to catch the ball.I caught it,but the impact knocked me off the boulder and onto my back on the ground.Everyone rushed to me with frantic and worried looks until they saw my hand in the air with the ball in the glove.
''I caught it!'' I exclaim even though I was in a lot of pain.
''I'm so sorry Carla.I didn't look.'' Ed apologized as he put me back onto the boulder.
''No bitch!Don't play that card with me!'' He looked at me,confused.
''What card?''
''The one where you blame yourself and you say 'I'm so sorry,it's all my fault'.I'm not Bella.No offence sis.'' she shrugged and I turned back to Ed ''Do that and I will break your jaw with my casted leg.Got it'' He replied.Everyone else just laughed and went back to their game.This time,Skyler sat with me on the boulder and we talked a little.
''How are things going with you and Emmy?'' I asked
''Pretty well actually''
''Oh,so no 'he's so sexy,adorable,super strong and just down right the best guy I've ever met'?'' I say,mimicking her voice.She blushes and pushed me lightly.
''I heard that!'' I heard Emmy yell at us.We burst out laughing until Ali order's everyone to stop.They rush to me and Sky.
''What is it Alice?'' Carlisle asked.
''I thought they left but they heard us playing.They're coming here.'' She stated,worried Ed held Bella in his arms.
''I'm so sorry.We never should have brought you three here.'' Ed said,also looking worried.
''Okay.What the fuck is going on?'' I asked sternly.They ignore me and all of them stand protectively around me,Sky and Bells.They face the east.That's when I saw four vampires exiting the darkness of the woods.I recognise one familiar face and instantly look away,not believing who I just saw.
''It can't be...'' I mumbled.Sky looked at me,clearly not recognising him.
''What is it Care?'' She asked worried.
''Jackson is a vampire...'' I tell her and she looks at the four again,this time recognising the guy who broke me.
