CHAPTER 20

Bella,Skyler and Edward are currently in Phoenix visiting mom.I stayed behind to deal with our new threat.

Victoria.

With Ed out of town,we lost our fastest vampire,and since I'm still a newborn,I havve to fill in his spot.
''She's almost here'' Alice informed as my new family got ready.I take a whiff of the air and instantly shoot to the left.The Cullens follow me as I let out an animalistic type growl.I jump over rocks and logs that were in my path as I stay a few feet away from Victoria.Just as I was about to grab her she punched me and I ended up in the river
''Carla!'' I heard Esme.
''Keep going!Don't stop!I'll catch up!'' I yell at them as I tear off my shoes and jacket.I rip the legs of my jeans off to make it into shorts and speed off again.I go over to the wolves' side just as they join us.Victoria saw me and the wolves,yet still decided to jump to this side.Emmett however,decided to follow her.Incidently,the treaty line was on that river,so Paul pushed Emmett back and he fell into the water,glaring at the grey wolf.
''Stop it!Both of you!Don't fucking make me come back there!'' I growl at them in my mind,then redirect my attention to Victoria.She started throwing rocks and pieces of wood at me to try and stop me I dodged each piece until she directed a rather large rock at Jake.I raced infront of him and punched the rock making it break into pieces.I forced myself to go to my top speed and nearly grabbed her as she jumped of the cliff.I almost went after her until I felt Jake pull me back by biting my leg.He wasn't biting hard,only enough to keep me back.
''Jake!Let me go!I need to go after her before she gets the chance to hurt my sisters!!''
''Not at the cost of losing your own life'' He growled in my head.
''I won't die!'' I snapped
''You don't know that!'' He snapped back.
I froze and he slowly let me go.I growled and stomped at human speed back to the forest line.I punched the closest tree to me,snapping it in half.I leaned against the tree next to it as it fell.
''Calm down.Calm down.'' I kept telling myself as I took deep breaths.Slowly,Jake made his way to me,still in his wolf form.I pushed myself away from the tree and sinked to my knees infront of him.I grabbed his head and put our foreheads together and closed my eyes.
''I'm sorry for snapping at you.I'm just stressed and scared that something might happen to Bella and Skyler.After last time,I don't want to lose another sibling'' I say in a soft voice.
''It's alright.You were angry.I just have to ask though what did the poor tree ever do to you?''

This sent me into a small laughing spree.I just responded to Jake with a kiss to his forhead and a scratch behind the ear.

I really love this guy.
