Chapter 7| An Exchange Wish

Labano Kingdom was known to be the training ground for Drakulo's soldiers for both Marivellian slaves and Drakulo's creatures.  Deep down Labano ocean, a beautiful, smart and a friendly mermaid named Cassandra dreamed to have a pair of legs. She planned to go to Cleondra, the Sea Enchantress and wished to turn her tail into a pair of legs and become a normal person so she can find her mother. Cassandra's father is a merman while her mother is a Marivellian and was trapped to Purity when Drakulo conqured Marivellos.

Cleondra will also asked a wish in return for every wish she grants. If a wisher refused to grant what Cleondra wants, he or she  will turn into whatever the Sea Enchantress desires.

Ethan, the sea lobster and Cassandra's bestfriend always reminds her not to continue what she plans.

Cassandra, listen to me for the last time! Do not go to Cleondra! you might repay tripple from what you've asked. Ethan reminded Cassandra.

But Ethan?? how will I know if I don't give it a try? I can repay her with pearls. I can repay her with my long hair. I can repay her whatever she wants..

But Cassandra. .

Cassandra stopped Ethan from talking..

Ethan, Im willing to take a risk just to see my mother. Cassandra left Ethan and decided to swim as fast as she can towards Cleondra's cave.

Cassandra!! Cassandra! Come back! Ethan shouted. Cassandra refused to look back and continue to swim.

While on her way to Cleondra's cave, Cassandra heard voices in the shore. She stopped swimming and hid into a rock to see it. She saw a man and a woman walking in the shore. The man's voice said:

Arianna, where can we find the others? The woman replied:

I don't know Achilles. I hope we can see them as soon as possible.

The Sword of Light suddenly lit up and was trying to pull Achilles towards the ocean.

Arianna! the Sword of Light! It's pulling me towards the sea! Achilles and Arianna went to the ocean and went to the direction of the light.

Cassandra, felt scared as Achilles and Arianna was approaching towards the rock where she was hiding. She flipped down and swim away from the shore.

Arianna and Achilles was shocked in what they just saw.

Arianna, did you saw it?? Achilles asked Arianna

Is that a mermaid??? Arianna was amazed.

I guess??? but why did the Sword of Light brought us here and pointed its light to that mermaid? Asked Achilles.

Arianna asked herself, a mermaid warrior??

What did you say Arianna?

Nothing Achilles.

Deep down the ocean, Cassandra bubbled to herself.

That was quite.

Cassandra swim and headed to the Sea Echantres' cave.

The Sea Echantres' cave is located in the deepest part of the Labano Ocean. The entrace of the cave has a big long arc. It has Algaes and moss scattered all over it. Cassandra was nervous but still choose to enter the cave and face the echantress.

Hello? I'm Cassandra... can someone hear me??

Suddenly, a merman appeared and approached Cassandra.

Why are you here? What do you want?

Im here to talk and ask something to the Sea Witch.

Follow me. The merman said.

Cassandra was brought to the center of the cave where the Sea Echantress throne is located.

My Enchantress, this mermaid wants something from you.

The Sea Enchantress suddenly appeared in front of Cassandra. Cleondra is a very gorgeous blonde woman with 8 emerald green tentacles that matches her outfit. Over her head is a sharp long crown that makes her look as the queen of the sea.

Hello dear. What brought you here? The Sea Enchantress asked Cassandra.

Ah... My name is Cassandra.. I'm here to wish.. ah I'm here to wish a pair of legs.. I want to see and find my mom outside the ocean. Cassandra explained.

Hahahha! Oh my dear Cassandra,  I understand...most of your kind wished to have legs! I granted it.. but most of them cannot repay me so they became sea fomes, algaes, moss hahahah! How about you my dear? how can you repay me? The sea enchatress excitedly asked Cassandra.

I don't know.. what do you want? just tell me.. I'm willing to give anything you want..

Well.. well.. well... I can see that crystal clear pearl you are wearing. Can I have that in exchange for the legs??? The Sea Enchantress giggled.

This necklace was given by my mother.. Cassandra had a second thought of giving it to the Sea Witch.

Ohh.. I guess you cannot give that. No necklace no legs plus I think I can turn you into a sea cucumber ohh that was cute hahaha! The Sea Enchantress threatened Cassandra.

Okey take it.. here.. Cassandra took off her necklace and handed it to the sea witch..

Cleondra accepted the necklace from Cassandra and was amazed on how it looks. Ohhhh.. this is very wonderful.. hahahaha!!

Ahhm.. where's my legs?? Cassandra uttered

Ohhh  in a hurry dear? close your eyes, take a deep breath and relax. The Sea Enchantress replied.

A green smoke encircled Cassandra's tail and then suddenly it became a pair of legs. She then suddenly loose her breath and nearly drowned.

Oh dear I'm sorry you're not a mermaid anymore. I'll take you to the shore! Thanks for the necklace by the way!

Cassandra vanished from the cave and find herself in the shore. Cassandra excitedly tried to rise up.. she was struggling to stand but eventually, she did it.  She looked for a piece of anything that can cover her skin. Cassandra touched her legs and murmured with excitement.

I am now a full human.
