Trick or Treat, Freak - [Pt.2]

"Trick or treat!" We said, as Will filmed and a lady opened up, with smiles on our faces. Smiles as if nothing were wrong.

When legit everything was wrong.

"Oh, well, aren't you cute? The little exterminators!" Our smiles faded in disappointment.

Who the hell doesn't recognize Ghostbusters?

We all snagged some candy and went on our way.

A few minutes later, Lucas spoke up.

"If I get another 3 Musketeers, I'm gonna kill myself."

"What's wrong with 3 Musketeers?" Dustin asked.

"'What's wrong with 3 Musketeers?'" Lucas reiterated.

"No one likes 3 Musketeers." Mike said.

"Yeah, it's just nougat." Will said.

"They have a point," I said.

"Whoah. Just nougat? Just nougat? It is top three for me."

"Top three?" Lucas asked.

"Top three!"

"Oh, God, give me a break." Mike said.

"Seriously, I could eat a whole bowl of nougat, straight up--"

Then somebody in a Michael Myers mask and a machete jumped in front of us, making us all scream.

Then the person pulled the mask off, revealing mask. "Holy shit! You should have seen the look on your faces. And you?" She looked at Lucas. "You sound like a little girl." She started walking but then turned back around. "Hey, you guys coming or not? Oh, I hear we should hit up Loch Nora. That's where the rich people live, right?" Dustin and Lucas smiled while Mike frowned.

Lucas and Dustin both started squealing and ran after her, while me and Will walked and Mike stayed back for a few seconds.

My theory may be wrong, but I think that Mike is just missing El. Maybe that's why he doesn't seem happy about Max.

"Another full-size. Like, seriously, rich people are such suckers. Wait, you're not rich, right?" Dustin said to Max.

"No, I live up Old Cherry Road."

While Lucas and Dustin were up chatting with Max and something about tubular whatever, Mike seemed really grumpy and moody.

I stayed back with him and Will. Will was filming.

"Did you agree to this?" Mike asked.

"What?" Will said.

"To her joining our party."

"It's just for Halloween."

"You should've checked with me."

"Well, they were excited. I guess I thought you'd be okay with it."

"She's ruining the best night of the year."

"Wait, how so?" I said.

"I just wanted a nice night with you guys. Not with some other girl."

There are bigger things to worry about, Michael.

Mike sped ahead, and so did I.

"Are you just missing El?" I said.

He suddenly got really defensive. "What the hell are you talking about?" He raised his voice, and I felt shocked. He's never yelled at me before...
