We were driving.
Well, Max, a 13-year-old girl, was driving.
Even though it was illegal.
Dustin and Mike were in the backseat, tending to Steve, Lucas was in the passenger seat, directing Max, and Max was driving.
Where was I?
I was standing in the trunk, hunching over the top of the backseats.
Was it safe?
Probably not.
Could I die?
That's a possibility.
But right now, that's the least of our concerns.
Steve was waking up.
Dustin was holding an ice pack on his forehead.
Mike was holding the gasoline.
Steve mumbled to himself, as he looked at Mike.
"Nancy?" He slurred.
Mike, as well as the rest of us, gave him this look:
Steve groaned and tried to touch his face.
"No, don't touch it." Dustin said. "Hey, buddy..." Dustin grinned. Steve was clearly confused. Dustin shushed him. "It's okay, you put up a good fight. He kicked your ass, but you put up a fight. You're okay." Steve looked like he was in severe pain.
"Okay, so you're gonna keep straight for a half a mile, then make a left on Mount Sinai." Lucas directed.
Steve looked confused and looked at Max, horrified.
"What's going on?" He slurred.
Max looked back at him.
"Don't! Get your eyes off the road!" I said. "I'm already violating safety laws, here." I said, emphasizing the fact that the only open spot was here, in the damn TRUNK!
"Sorry, sorry." Max muttered.
"Oh, my God!" Steve said, snapping into reality, chuckling in a sarcastic way.
"Just relax, she's driven before." Dustin said.
"Yeah, in a parking lot." Mike said.
"That counts," Lucas argued.
"I mean, true," I said.
"Oh, my God..." Steve said, freaking out.
"They were gonna leave you behind." Dustin said.
"Oh, my God."
"I promised that you'd be cool, okay?"
"You can't promise something you can't control, Dustin," I said.
Max started speeding up, and Steve started freaking out x10.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, what's going on!"
She sped up even more.
"Oh, my GOD! NOOOOOOOO! Whoa! Stop the car! Slow down."
"I told you he'd freak out!!" Mike said.
"Yeah, including the fact that I'm standing in the trunk!" I said.
"STOP THE CAR!" Steve yelled.
"Everybody SHUT UP! I'm trying to focus!!" Max yelled.
"Oh, wait, that's Mount Sinai. Make a left," Lucas directed hysterically.
"What?"
"Make a left!" Lucas yelled, with a voice crack.
The Max accidentally drove off, the road, making everyone scream, making me lose my balance, and when she got back on the road, I fell down, and yelped.
"Holy SHIT! Are you okay?" Dustin asked.
"Yeah, I'm totally fine," I said, sarcastically.
Max then made a sharp turn left, making me fall again, and we all screamed.
Holy. Shit.
I'm gonna die here.
Hi.
Sorry this chapter was short, like last time, the last one was VERY long for me, so... yeah.
Also, since most of you (none of yall XD) didn't see my announcement thing on my profile, lemme explain.
So back when S3 came out, I started writing a Noah fanfic (not published as of right now FYI), called "a best friend a broken heart" (bad name I know I made this several months back, and that was before I started looking up unique words board and obsession on Pinterest 👍. So comment to this paragraph if you'd like to see it, after this lacuna series, and I'll revise, edit, and publish it, and I'll post a preview on the next chapter :)
