The four went through several matches and won them. Rongst is getting progressively better. Till they finally reached the semi-finals round. One more win and they get to go up against Ror-ganta for the rule of Dahn-sin. Rongst remembered a couple of moves he use to practice with Gale. The four arrive at the venue on a skyscraper rooftop. It was built as a miniature stadium with a open rooftop and lights everywhere. There are small bars on the north, south, east, and west sides of the venue. Their next match is in a few minutes against a well known team. They have been dancing even before the restricting rules came out. Rongst remembers them from his first visit. They are all humans who are brothers. One is small and skinny his name is S, the other is medium height and build his name is M, the last one is super tall and kind of chunky his name is L. The team is know as S.M.L.
"Now this venue is more like it. High class like our tastes right Ed?" He turns to Ed who is no longer there.
Ed is ordering a drink at the futuristic looking bar. "Well he's got the right idea. C'mon kid I'll buy you a drink." The two walk through a crowd to meet and sit with Ed. The venue is packed with all kinds of people. The sound of glasses being toasted and people conversing with one another about their days fill Rongst's ears.
Rongst is looking off into the distance, "One Galaxy Fusion Margarita please." The bartender nods at Doug and looks to Rongst.
"Oh um... cranberry juice." The bartender nods and begins making the drinks.
"What's wrong kiddo? Your looking off." The bartender passes Doug his drink.
"Eh it's just all this dancing and stuff reminds me of when I first came here. Makes me think of all of them." The bartender hands Rongst his juice.
"What happened? You and the others got into a fight?" He sips his purple and neon blue drink.
"No. Well, it was mostly me. I mean I am fine with Karen and Tucker but..."
"You still look at Gale in a bad way?" He is almost done with his drink.
"Well yes. I mean, I know I shouldn't because Gale probably was trying the most to better me. I just can't see it right now." Rongst stirs his juice with his straw.
"Well then, just take your time and try to see it in that way. It will come, don't worry kid." The bartender walks past the two and drops off milk to Ed and a tiny glass of milk for Manfred. "You know, you and Gale were pretty great at dancing together. I remember when you two challenged the previous leader Jay Walkstep. The way you two coordinated and moved was..." He slurps the rest of his drink. "Amazing."
"Nah. I didn't do much. Gale did most of the dancing killing it out there, not me." Rongst finishes his juice.
"Well that's not how I saw it. The giant statue that was made for the two of you winning is still there" The bartender takes his empty glass.
"Yeah they definitely made it of Gale. You see it?" He turns to Doug.
"Nope. It was covered while they were finishing it. Now it won't be taken off because Ror-ganta said so." Ed spills some milk on his green fur and looks around to see if anyone saw. And then proceeds to wipe it off with his hands.
The music stops and silence fills the venue. "Could the Timeless Four and S.M.L come to the stage. We got a match to get rolling! Shall we?" Delufidemier says of the loudspeaker.
"Well kid we're up. Let's knock em dead." Doug hops off the high chair he has been sitting on.
"Yeah... Let's go Ed." Rongst follows Doug.
"Right!" Ed chugs his milk and so does Manfred.
The four take to the stage and so does the team they are versing. The crowds goes silent.
"Now are you all ready to enjoy this lovely display of dance!" The crowd goes wild. "I know I am! Now without further ado. May the semi-final match begin! Goodluck to all of you beautiful creatures!" The music begins to play.
The light focuses to the stage. S.M.L start their routine off with their own dance that doesn't follow Ror-ganta's rules already. They came prepared for this. They moved coordinated and pulled off amazing tricks. Rongst and the three begin to bust out some moves of their own. But the crowd doesn't seem too swayed. Just then S.M.L do a crazy formation where they balance one another atop one another and pose. The crowd loves it and goes crazy for them. The Timeless Four are in trouble here and Rongst knows it. He pauses mid routine and so do the other three.
"Why did you stop dancing Wrong?" Ed asks.
Rongst smiles at Ed. "Because. Watch I got this." Rongst begins to move fluidly like water. The crowd begins to rile up. He poses and shows some new moves no one has even seen. The crowd is really fired up now, but not quite on their side entirely yet. Just then Manfred jumps out of Ed's fur and begins to copy Rongst. Rongst smiles even more and continues. The crowd begins to jump everywhere out of excitement. They also yearn to move as freely and beautifully as they do. There are people jumping a top one another out of pure thrill.
"It seems we have a winner... The Timeless Four!" Cheers and claps are heard. Drinks are being clinked together. The crowd is cheering for Rongst and Manfred.
"Kid! That was amazing. You really surprised me with that one honestly." Doug pats him on the back.
"Thanks. We all did it. Don't forget that. With of course the help of our amazing fourth member." Manfred poses on the stage for pictures.
"Everyone if you can please follow our winners to the teleporter heading to the final round at. . . . Drum roll please!" Drums are heard. From where who knows. "The Stardust Stadium! See you all there in a few my lovelies!" All eyes are on the Timeless Four waiting for them to enter the final teleporter.
"Well, let's finish this guys. We got a tourney to win!" Rongst raises his arm in a fist in the air. The crowd begins to cheer loudly.
"Yeah let's go save our home kiddo." Doug raises his arm and fist too. Even though it may be tiny.
"Ed and Manfred are right behind you guys!" Ed says. They both raise their hairy and small fists. They all enter the final teleporter and everyone follows them. Rongst thinks to himself. I am coming to stop you. And yet... I want to be like you. Maybe I can't ever be that. But hell. I'm making the effort to try." At Stardust Stadium Ror-ganta is there waiting in a chair as the crowd begins to gather and watch the spectacle that will shock all viewers. And I mean ALL viewers.
