Moving Away(flashback chapter)

(This is a flashback chapter, so, this would be around the time when Miklia was eight)

Miklia's P.O.V.

             "We're moving?!" I said shocked as my mom just explained to me that we'll be moving. I don't understand, I've lived here since I was a baby. Why are we moving? "Hun," mom said trying to calm me down, "I wish we could stay, but we have too because of my work." "But I have friends here," I said through my tears; this is rare of me, since I never cried before. "You'll make new friends," mom said, "don't worry." "Mom," I cried, "Sorey won't be there." Sorey is my best friend, I can't leave him, we promised we wouldn't leave each other. "Sweetheart," mom said trying calm me down but I ran away before she could.

             I ran out of the house while hearing mom behind. I just wanted to clear my head after what mom told me. I ran all the way to the lake in the park; I sat near it and began to think as tears began to fall from my face. Never in my life have I ever been this upset about anything before; maybe it's because I would be leaving everything I ever knew, even Sorey. I knew Sorey ever since I was 3 and we've been best friends ever since. I don't want to leave Sorey. Why would I have to leave the one best friend I always known.

           "Miklia!" I heard someone yell my name which took me by surprise. I quickly wiped my tears away as I turned around to see a brown-haired boy running towards me. It was Sorey; he was probably looking for me, after all, mom and I's fight was probably heard from miles away. I didn't want him to worry; so, I stood up and said/asked, "Sorey, is something wrong-" I was interrupted to Sorey pulling me into a tight hug. "Miklia, I was so worried," Sorey said worriedly, "when I heard that you ran away from your mother, I thought that something bad could have happened to you." My tears started to come back after I heard Sorey say that; I worried him. I started to cry again which made Sorey noticed, letting me go, and ask, "hey, what's wrong?"

            "Sorey," I said through my tears, "I'm moving away." "Wait what," Sorey said shocked then asked, "why?" "I have to because of mom's work," I said as tears ran down and I looked up at him, "Sorey, I know we promised that we'd stay together but, with me moving away, I'm not sure how we'll be able to keep-" Sorey interrupted me by pulling me into a tight hug again and said, "Miklia, it's alright, we'll still be friends no matter what." "You think so?" I asked then Sorey said, "I know so." Sorey smiled which made me smile as the tears slowed down a little.

time skip to one month later...

         "Miklia," mom yelled, "it's almost time to go!" I was sitting on the front step of my house as I saw boxes going into the moving van. I was kinda sad as I saw everything from the house leave. "Yes mom," I said as I picked up my backpack and walked over to the car. I hoped all month that mom would change her mind of moving, but she hasn't. When I put the backpack in the car, I was about to go in until I heard someone yell, "Miklia, wait!"

          I turned around to see Sorey, running over to me. "Sorey?" I said confused; when he came to where I was, I asked, "Sorey, what are you doing here?" "I needed to give you something before you go," Sorey said out of breath and I asked, "what is it?" When Sorey regain his breath, he grabbed my hand and said, "close your eyes for a sec." I didn't get what was going on but I closed my eyes. I felt something being put on my finger then heard Sorey said, "alright, you can open your eyes now."

          I opened them to see a ring on my finger; the ring was white with green and purple streaks around it and a pink rose on the top of it. "Do you like it?" Sorey asked with a smile and I said, "I love it." I then realized that rings cost money and asked Sorey, "how were you able to buy this?" "I was able to save enough money for it," Sorey said still smiling; "you bought something for me?" I said shocked/surprised and Sorey said, "of course, I care about you and I hope that if we see each other again, you could...be my princess?" I blushed when Sorey said that, so did Sorey, but I smiled and said, "of course I will, Sorey."

        Sorey smiled widely when I said that and asked, "really?" I nodded, still smiling, and Sorey said, "that's great! I'm so happy you accepted!" I smiled as I playful rolled my eyes, playful elbowed in Sorey's arm, and said, "don't get ahead of yourself, Sorey." Sorey knew I was joking around with him when I said that, so he started to tickle me. I started laughing and tickled him back; even though I was leaving, I know that Sorey would always remember me. After our tickle fight, I saw mom come out with some things to add to the car. "Oh, hello Sorey," mom said when she noticed Sorey and asked, "did you come to say goodbye to Miklia?" "Yes Miss Rulay," Sorey said with a smile

     "That's good," mom said, "Miklia has been talking about you, she'll miss you deeply." "Mom!!" I said/shouted blushing as heck, my face was probably bright red. Sorey chuckled and said, "I'll miss Miklia too." "Miklia," mom said looking at me, "it's time to go." "Yes mom," I said then looked over at Sorey. "Goodbye Sorey," I said as I hugged Sorey. "Goodbye Miklia," Sorey said accepting the hug. After a little while, I let Sorey go and I noticed that Sorey had some tears falling from his face. "I'll miss you Miklia," Sorey said through his tears, "please promise me you'll come back one day." "I'll miss you too Sorey," I said as I felt a few tears fall down my face, "and I promise." I was about to go into the car until Sorey grabbed my hand which prevented me from moving. I looked at Sorey and asked, "is something wrong Sorey?" "I'll hate myself if I don't do this," Sorey said; before I could say anything, Sorey grabbed my chin, turned it sideways a little, and kissed me on the cheek.

       I was surprised as Sorey let me go but I smiled and kissed Sorey's cheek. Sorey was a little shocked, probably didn't expect it. "Bye Sorey," I said as I entered the car. I looked at Sorey through the window and he smiled as he walked away. I smiled as I felt my cheek he kissed as I blushed lightly. Mom, who was in the car after she told me we had to go, started the car and we started to leave the driveway. I looked back the house I would probably never see again; I saw Sorey on the sidewalk, since he lived next door to me, and sadly waved goodbye to me. I sadly waved goodbye back and hoped that one day I'll come back...

(9 years later) present day:

     I woke up from the dream, and sat up in bed. It's been 9 years since I saw Sorey and mom's job had us move back to our old house again. I, of course, was happy that I'll be able to see Sorey again and I hope that Sorey remembers me. "This is it," I said to myself, "I hope Sorey would be able to remember me."

Superkid0704 here, I hope you liked the first chapter of the Sormik fanfic.
I tried my best to make Miklia like Mikleo but since I'm new to the fandom, it might be bad but I hope you liked it.
I didn't know if Mikleo could also be a girl name, so I used the name Miklia and Mikleo doesn't really have a last name, so I used the last name of Mikleo's true name.
