Miklia's P.O.V.

It's been a month since I came to Elysia High and I started to like it here. Sorey is starting to remember me a little but still doesn't remember that I'm his childhood friend. At least he's remembering me a little bit, that's all that matters.

Anyway, it's the month of October which means it's the month of Halloween. I was helping my mom out with some of the decorations for Halloween before school. "You know Miklia," mom said, "you don't have to help me out." "Nonsense," I said, "you know I always like to help you with the decorations." I put the fake spiders on the porch and put the fake webs. "So," mom said then asked, "what are you going to do for Halloween this year?" "I don't really have any plans," I said, "I would probably just pass candy to the trick-or-treaters." Halloween wasn't really my favorite holiday, but I still liked it.

I looked at my watch and it was time for school. I picked my backpack up and said, "well, I better head to school." "Thank you again for helping me with the decorations," mom said and I said, "it's no problem." I waved goodbye to mom and closed the door to the gate. I noticed that Sorey came out of his house and I decided to wait for him. As soon as he was close to me, I said, "hello Sorey." I think I scared him because he flinched and also fell down after I said hi. I started to giggle a little which then turned into a laugh because I didn't not expect that to happened. "Well hi Miklia, how are you after you scared me?" Sorey asked joking around with me; I stopped laughing and said, "I'm doing well and I'm sorry, I actually think that I'd scare you." "It's alright," Sorey said and we started walking towards the bus stop.

While we were walking to the bus stop, Sorey was telling me about some sort of haunted house. Apparently, an evil con man named Georg Heldalf lived in a house in a forest; one day, a fire broke out and burned everything except the house. Georg Heldalf didn't make it but some say that his ghost still lived in that house, saying whoever goes in, doesn't come out. I don't really believe in ghost stories, since I know ghosts aren't real, but I started to wonder who started the fire; probably a group of kids who made a campfire in a forest and it broke out or maybe revenge. Sorey was interested in the story of the ghost but I said, "I highly doubt that a ghost lives in a house." "You don't believe the story?" Sorey asked and I said, "I'm not really a big fan of ghost stories, plus I know they're not real."

"But what if it's real?" Sorey asked in a spooky voice; I laughed at his voice and said/asked, "I highly doubt it, besides, has anyone even tried?" Sorey thought for a moment then said, "no, I don't they did." "That's because they didn't even try for themselves," I said, "but still, I would like to see what the house looks like on the outside." "Why don't we go with the others," Sorey said with a smile, "that way we'll be able to connect more as friends." I was shocked when Sorey said that but smiled and nodded in agreement. "then it's settled," Sorey said, "we'll go after school with the others." We made it to the bus stop and the bus just arrived. I waved bye to Sorey and went to go find Lailah. We're going to go see the haunted house after school, what could go wrong?

Time skip to the afternoon:

After school, my friends and I walked into the forest close the neighborhood to see the 'haunted house'. When Sorey and I asked if the others wanted to come with us to see the haunted house, they immediately said yes because they wanted to see the haunted house as well. While on the bus home, I texted my mom, telling her I was going be home late because I was hanging out with friends to which mom was alright with that. Probably because she thought that I was becoming more social than when I was younger.
