New Friends and One New Enemy

Miklia's P.O.V.

           The morning was boring, as usual with all schools. Though homeroom was fun, because we talked about architectures, math class and English class wasn't. I'm just happy that it was lunch time, so I could rest my brain for a while. When I entered the cafeteria, the whole place was packed; at my old school, it wouldn't be this packed. Maybe because it's a public school and the rules are different.

             I got some food and went to go find Lailah when I was almost attacked by a football. I knew it was the jocks but I didn't care, the last thing I want is to pick a fight with the jocks. I was dodging everything that was being thrown until I heard someone yell, "Miklia, over here!" I looked over to see Lailah, waving over for me to come over. I quickly walked over, avoiding all stuff being thrown around, and managed to make it over to where Lailah was. "I should've warned you about the cafeteria," Lailah said nervously then happily continued, "but I'm glad you made it." I nodded with a smile and I sat down in a empty spot of the table.

            "Miklia, I would like you to meet Edna, Alisha, Rose, Zaveid, and Dezel," Lailah said as she introduced me to each of the other people. The first person, who was Edna, had long yellow hair that was in a side ponytail, a white jacket over a cyan hoodie, white and plaid skirt, and orange stockings with yellow boots. The second person, who was Alisha, had very light brown hair, black glasses on her face, white and navy blue jacket over a black shirt, white and plaid skirt, and black stockings with black dress shoes. 

              The third person, who was Rose, had pinkish-reddish hair that was in a ponytail, a blue shirt with black on the sleeves and a black tie around the neck, a white and plaid skirt with a pink hoodie tied around, and black stockings with light pink sneakers. The fourth person, who was Zaveid, had long greenish-whitish hair, a black cap on his head, black and teal jacket over a dark blue vest and white shirt, yellowish-orangish pants, and black sneakers. The final person, who was Dezel, had greenish-whitish hair that was up to his shoulders, black sunglasses on his face, a white dress shirt with a reddish-brownish vest, black pants, and black shoes. 

            "So you're the brand-new scholar that Lailah told us about," Edna said in a monotone voice. I was sure if she was mocking me but I didn't like the voice she was using. "Yeah," I said, "I'm Miklia." "It's nice to meet you Meebo," Edna said with a smirk. Meebo?! What kind of a name is that?! I then heard Zaveid laugh then said, "don't worry, you'll get used to Edna's way of communicating, it's nice to meet you Miklia, I'm Zaveid, though Lailah already told you." "Miklia, what do you think of Elysia High?" Alisha asked me and I said, "I kinda like it, it's a lot nicer than my old school." "Elysia High is known to be one of the best schools in the world," Edna said; I wouldn't say it was the best in the world, but it's a good school. 

                 "What Edna means is, Elysia High is the most popular school everyone knows about," Rose said, "everyone wants to go here." "I knew Elysia High was popular but I didn't know it was this popular," I said then Lailah said, "yeah, Elysia High is one of the top ten best schools." I was surprised; I guess that's why mom sent me to this school. "Hey Miklia," Alisha said, "where did you get that ring?" I then remembered that I was wearing the ring and I said, "oh, it was given to me when I was really young by a friend." "Just a friend?" Edna asked with a smirk and I started blushing; I was quickly saved by Lailah yelling, "Hey Sorey! Over here!"

                    I looked over to see Sorey, walking over to us. Wait, Sorey knows Lailah and the others. "Hey Lailah, how was your day so far?" Sorey asked Lailah and she said/asked, "it's been going quite well, how about you?" While Sorey was talking to Alisha, I started to feel weird in my stomach, like I was getting upset. I don't know why I was acting like this, is this what jealously feels like? No, I can't be jealous, Lailah and Sorey are just friends, right?
