Ice Skating and Snowball Fight

Miklia's P.O.V.

           Ever since the Halloween movie night, Sorey has been more happy to see me than usual. He would always hug me whenever he sees me and would compliment me a lot. Does Sorey remember me or is he starting to show that he likes me? I wasn't really sure because if he does remember me, he would say something, right? I didn't let it get to me, since maybe Sorey was just trying to become a closer friend.

            Anyway, it has been a month since Halloween and it was now the month of December, which means it's Christmas month. I love Christmas; the Christmas carols, the tree-lighting, it's starts to snow, everything. One of the things I love about Christmas is when ice-skating place close by opens up. It was an outdoor ice-skating rink and it only opens during the Christmas season; many people would volunteer to help work at the ice-skating and many people would come skate there.

            Since it only opens in the month of December, you can count on the fact that Christmas music would start playing. Now, I love to skate; ever since my mom signed me up to do skating lessons, I loved it. My mom even bought me ice skates to use when I go ice-skating and I would used the skates a lot. Since I'm back in town, I couldn't wait to skate in the same outdoor ice-skating rink where I skated with my mom when I was little.

             Anyway, it was 11 A.M. on a Saturday and I was getting ready to go to the rink. Lailah invited the whole group to go skating at the outdoor ice-skating rink and I immediately said yes, so did the others. "Now Miklia," mom said with a smile, "make sure to stay warm, and don't skate too much." "Yes mom," I said as I picked my ice skates up and mom said, "don't stay out too long, alright Miklia?" "Alright mom," I said and walked over to the front door. I waved goodbye to mom and went outside.

              Fun fact, it snowed last night and it was still snow today; so, when I went outside, I immediately felt the cold air on my face. Relax, I was wearing a winter coat, mittens, scarf, winter boots, and a winter hat over my normal clothes, so I wouldn't get sick. My hair was up in a ponytail because one of the main rules of ice-skating is always have your hair up before skating. I walked down the sidewalk of my house only to get hit by a snowball a few seconds later. I looked over to see Sorey, holding a snowball in his hand, ready to throw another one.

              Oh no, I'm not going to get attacked by a bunch of snowballs, not today. I placed my ice skates on the ground, made a snowball, and threw it at Sorey, which hit him in the face. Sorey fell to the ground and I was immediately worried that I may have hurt him. So, I picked up my ice skates, ran over to where he was, which was in front of his house, and asked, "Sorey, are you okay?" At that moment, Sorey threw a snowball at me and said, "haha, got ya." I placed the ice skates down and rubbed the snow off my face.

            "That's not fair," I said a bit mad, "I was really worried about you." "Sorry Miklia," Sorey said, "but if it makes you happy, you did really get me." I picked up some snow and dumped it on Sorey; I wasn't really mad at Sorey but it felt good to get back at him. "That's what you get," I said jokingly; at that moment, Sorey sat up, jokingly pushed me to the ground, and threw a pile of snow on me. Great, now I have snow in my hair; after I got snow off of my face, I started to laugh a little, so did Sorey. After a while, we stopped laughing after realizing the position we were in; Sorey quickly got off of me and I was blushing like heck.

            "Well," Sorey said while blushing, "that was something I didn't think would happen." "Y-Yeah, me too," I said while blushing then asked, "a-a-anyway, you ready for ice skating?" "Yep," Sorey said as he stood up, "though I don't really know how to skate." "You don't know how to skate?" I asked as Sorey helped me up; "nope," Sorey said, "I have never skated in my life, so this should be fun." I picked up my ice skates and asked Sorey if he wanted to walk with me to the outdoor ice-skating rink, since it wasn't far, to which he said yes. While we walked over, we were talking about school and all the funny things that happened so far.
