Keeper of Dark Light (Sequel to Beacon Of Light)

Chapter Two

Very faintly Kai could hear his friends talking as he finally woke up. He tried concentrating on what they were saying, but the voices were muffled. Kai looked to his right to see that Lay was beside him checking on him. "Hey, you're finally awake. How are you feeling?" Lay asked his voice sounding tired filled with relief. Kai winced as he sat up. "I'm okay just stiff. How long was I out for?" Kai asked not knowing what day it was.

"You were in a coma for a few weeks". By the look on Kai's face he could see that Lay was serious and not fooling around. "Wait I was in a coma for a few weeks? I thought it was just a night I slept". Kai said his voice filled with shock. He rubbed a hand over his face not wanting to believe he was in a coma. "Your injuries were rather serious and healing you became difficult. But over time you should be yourself again".

"D.O and Xiumin are making dinner and there's a surprise waiting for you in the kitchen". Lay said as his smile got bigger. Kai looked at him confused. "A surprise? What did I deserve to get a surprise?" Kai asked clearly confused. Lay chuckled. "Why don't you bet up and find out".

Lay helped Kai up as he followed him into the kitchen where everyone was talking. "Everyone look who finally woke up?" Lay spoke interrupting their conversations. Everyone turned around to see Kai leaning on the doorframe. "Kai!" Everyone yelled running up to him to give him a hug. Kai welcomed them as he hadn't seen them in a while.

"Hey, kid good seeing you again". Xiao-ping said ruffling his chocolate brown hair. Kai looked up at him big eyed. "Xiao-ping is that you? Long time no see". Kai said as he hugged his long time friend. Suddenly everyone could smell something burning from the kitchen. They watched as D.O ran towards the kitchen. "Oh, man I burnt the chicken". D.O yelled.

Even while Baekhyun was in a deep sleep, he could still hear the sound of the Red Force speaking to him in his head. He tried fighting back against the voices, but it was like they had something controlling him. No matter what he did Baekhyun couldn't win against the pull that was dragging him deeper into this black hole that the Red Force created. It was a tug of war on his brain as the voices went deeper as he could no longer hear his own thoughts. Baekhyun could feel himself losing his own mind to  the Red Force. And there was nothing he could do about it.

Suddenly Baekhyun's eyes open a haze look shielding his brown eyes.
