Keeper of Dark Light (Sequel to Beacon Of Light)

Chapter Seven

"Hey, let's pretend that the accident never happened. It's healthier that way. I know you didn't mean to harm me, and I'm not mad at you. I never was. And I don't want you to blame yourself anymore". Kai spoke as he still held onto Baekhyun.

Baekhyun looked up at Kai his eyes filled with tears. "I'm glad that you forgive me and that you can surpass this. But I can't get over what I did. I hurt people Kai, possibly even killed innocent people. How can I not see myself as this monster I become? They took me as an experiment and turned me into whatever it is I am. There's no cure Kai. I'm stuck this way until I die. Maybe I should have died when my body was too weak". Baekhyun gestured towards himself.

Kai's heart ached for his friend for years. Kai gripped onto his arms and gave him a gentle shake. "Hey, don't speak that way. None of us want you dead. All we wanted while you were gone was to have you back. We're gonna find a cure Baek. I'll search the whole planet when I'm better. But please don't do anything that you'll regret". Kai spoke softly mixed with sternness to get through to his friend.

Baekhyun's heart was filled with guilt which he was gonna live with it for the rest of his life. He didn't think he would ever forgive himself. "You have us okay? You can lean on us for support. We're here for you". Kai said as he guided them towards the house.

"Kai, you go on in. I'm gonna look at the moon a while. I'll be in soon". Baekhyun said as he glanced up at the moon. Kai hesitatingly nodded. "Okay I'll tell the others". Kai said as he walked back into the house. Baekhyun turned back around and made his way to the bluff and sat down.

Tonight the moon was bigger and closer to earth than it had been in a long time. Baekhyun looked up at the moon in awe as it had been a while silence he seen it. He looked down at his hands examining them. An idea had come to him as he thought hard on it.

"It's worth a try". Baekhyun whispered as he rose his hands. Baekhyun concentrated really hard to form an orb of light, but nothing happened. He tried again finally managing to form a white light orb, he smiled as it finally resembled his real power.

Suddenly he could feel his body shake as the orb got bigger and brighter. His body shook uncontrollably as the orb got bigger  as it shot towards the sky. A bright flashed as it was the last thing he saw before blacking out.

Everyone in the house saw the flash before running outside to see what was going on. As they approached the bluff they could see a figure lying on the ground.

"Baekhyun!" The all shouted before running towards his figure.
