It was a bright, sunny day. Were it not for the fact that she was a demon, Nezuko would be basking in the sunlight. She laid in an enclosed room dimly lit by a few candles. The futon she was on was a fluffy one- it was difficult to part with it, and the soft fabric made it even harder for Nezuko to wake up.
She tossed and turned her body for a few hours before she stopped and stared at the ceiling. 'Bored...' She thought to herself, kicking her feet to the air, the bedsheets jumped with each kick.
It wasn't until she heard the sounds of her brother that she rose up from the bed. She stared at the door, waiting for Tanjirou to come out of it. She waited, and waited, and waited.
Finally, Tanjirou opened the door slightly, as to not let in any sunlight. Nezuko beamed when she saw her brother, instantly rushing over to his side.
"Oh!" Tanjirou said in surprise. "You're awake! That's good." Tanjirou's lips curled into a smile as he put down a large box to the ground. Nezuko stared at it curiously.
"This is your new box," Tanjirou explained, patting the oak wood surface. "It has two rooms in it now because you're gonna have to share one with Zenitsu." Nezuko didn't say anything, as per usual, and just went inside the crate. It was bigger than her old one, but her space got smaller. Tanjirou shot her a concerned look after seeing her struggle to get inside. Eventually, her body fit the tight space, though she had to shrink to about the size of a toddler.
"Nezuko," Tanjirou asked quietly, he stood in front of Nezuko, blocking her from escaping the box. "I hope you don't mind if we visit Tamayo before going back." Nezuko nodded. She liked Tamayo. Tamayo was nice and Yushiro was cute. Her brother sighed in relief seeing her approval. He stood and closed Nezuko's door. It was jumbled, but Nezuko could hear Tanjirou say that they should depart from the manor as soon as possible.
Nezuko closed her eyes as the box moved up and down. Her brother's footsteps were heavy enough to be heard but light enough to be quick. A moment passed before she could hear another mumble, this time by another person and Tanjirou. From the other room, she could hear a door open, then the box shook.
"Hi, Nezuko," The voice sounded like Zenitsu. Nezuko merely knocked on the wooden plank separating them to greet him. "Um... Sorry for the other day. Y'know, when I stabbed you."
'Think nothing of it,' Nezuko replied. She was getting drowsier by the minute, but it seemed like Zenitsu wasn't. 'It wasn't you, after all.'
Zenitsu's answer was a long pause. Nezuko yawned. She heard when Tanjirou said his goodbyes to the house's owners. Her mind wandered around and her eyes feel like they were being pulled down to the ground.
"I hope it wasn't me," Zenitsu finally spoke. But at that time, Nezuko was already in dreamland. Her light snores could be heard by Zenitsu's sharp ears. He silently wished her a good rest.

It was a long road, the path was rocky and the contrast between the sizzling sun with the cold snow made Tanjirou's body feel all kinds of discomfort. He sneezed, his hair getting ruffled in the process. Thankfully, he didn't smell any demons nearby, so there were little to no obstacles in his way.
Along the way, Zenitsu and Tanjirou chatted. Anything they could talk about, they did. Tanjirou would laugh every time Zenitsu cracked up a joke even if it wasn't funny. The blonde felt like he was getting addicted to Tanjirou's husky, yet soft voice.
"Tanjirou, what time is it?" Zenitsu asked, his legs were getting cramped and while he wanted to complain, he felt guilty of Tanjirou carrying his heavy body all this time.
