please don't murder me for my own opinion but I felt like you guys should know why I will constantly hate on this man
— this man spent his entire early life being bullied, yes, I get that — but also he then spent the rest of his life as an adult being a big bully — he took out his anger for certain adults that have passed on to their children and that's disgusting — what he did to Hermione when draco jinxed her teeth disgusted me and made me hate him more — he's an angry and butt hurt man that the woman he OBSESSED over (not loved) didn't choose him — but y'all seem to forget why she wasn't friends with him and why James bullied him (which is still wrong)
I'll lay it out for y'all — Snape began to move towards dark magic canonically in their fifth year, that's what he turned to as a half-blood in Slytherin — He began to hang around the wrong crowd (Lucius, Bellatrix, etc) they further led him down the path of darkness — He was the one who began to pull away from Lily due to her bloodstatus — He called her a mudblood, which was when Lily stopped trying to reach out to him — James was a protective bean of his Lily-flower and like was going to fight Snape for doing so, and like that's why they started their feud — Lets not forget that he became a death eater and wasn't working for the order until Lily was a topic of conversation — But he didn't care about James and Harry he only cared about Lily — The only time that he thought about Harry needing to be saved was with the comment that 'he has her eyes'
In review, Severus Snape was a man who was obsessed with a girl who didn't like him and was so angry by that fact that he took it out on teenagers and even caused one of his students so much terror that he became their boggart. Also, similarly to Voldemort he was very much so a pureblood elitist that was a half-blood.
