The couple sat at the dining table, enjoying an early dinner. After that they went into the living room. They played cards. Like always, after some time, they came back to their usual topic. It hasn't left them in month and it got worse every day.
"Do you think we could have stopped it?", the old man asked his wife.
"I don't know to be honest. Maybe. But it wasn't the right time. We could have. If some things would have gone different you know. I regret that I wasn't able to do it. But it happened. We can't change that. We just have to keep doing what we're doing and hope that one day it'll work out. And it will trust me. I have a good feeling about it.", she told her husband.
"Now let's go to bed, it's already late."
