Mana's POV:
Six hours later 11:45pm...
"I'm so going to kick your ass! We'er late!" I yelled at Gwen as we claimed out of the cab.
"You can't rush perfection!" Gwen said flipping her hair while smirking.
"Yes you can! Expecially when your cousin's ass is literally on the line! Rowan's going to kill me." I was officially fucked.
"Oh hush up, doms are usually pretty easy on their subs the first time around. Don't want to scare off the fresh meat." Gwen answered calmly as we walked to the head of the long line in front of Sinful. We we're let in immediately, which wasn't really surprising. But it still wasn't quick enough for us to make it in on time. I was late to a very important date.
Gwen and I headed for the bar. I wasn't actually clear on where I was meeting Master Sullivan tonight. It was a struggle for my brain to remember to call him Master instead of Rowan. Saying his God given name just came easier to me.
"Hello earth to Mana?!" Gwen yelled over the music that filled Sinful.
"Sorry I was thinking. What do you need?" I asked Gwen unsure of were we had left off in our conversation.
"Do you know where your meeting Sullivan?" Gwen yelled sipping her drink.
"No" but before I could finish that sentence a cold finger tapped my shoulder.
"Miss. Hallingsworth?" Luke's cold voice asked.
I couldn't help the feeling of dread that over took my nervous system. Let's just say I wasn't in a rush to turn around. "Mr. Everhorn"
"Your late Miss. Hallingsworth" Luke's said looking down his nose.
"I'm sorry Mr. Everhorn" I knew Luke wasn't going to let me being late slid by unnoticed.
"It's not I who should be sorry for your tardiness Miss. Hallingsworth." Luke replied looking happy at my discomfort.
"Hey ass hole it wasn't her fault she was late. So back the fuck off!" Gwen yelled.
But by the look on Luke's face I could tell he did not appreciate her choice in language. "What have I told you about that foul language Gwyneth!"
"Go fuck your self Luke" Gwen yelled right back not looking all too worried about the fact that she just cursed out a very important person.
"You'll pay for that later Gwyneth kitten." Luke answered looking very serious.
I could tell by the look on Gwen's face, and the fact that her normal fair skin was as red as a fire engine that she was about ready to throw some punches. Which is never a good sign.
"Calm down Gwen." I said stepping in front of her, so that I was now face to face with her.
"Get him away from me Mana, I'm about ready to stab him with my heal." Gwen answered looking very serious.
"Alright I'll get rid of him, just stay calm!"
Gwen went back to the bar not promising anything.
"Can I see Master Sullivan now?" I asked turning back to face Luke.
"No, not now at least. You missed your appointment Miss. Hallingsworth so you'll have to wait until Master Sullivan ends his meeting." Luke explained not looking very sorry.
"But I was only a few minutes late."
"Minutes can sometimes be the difference between life and death here Miss. Hallingsworth. It'd be for the best if you learned that now."
