"Run, Children!" The man yelled to the children as they proceeded to run into the forest.
They first started in a group but as they were running they began to be picked off one by one like a herd of sheep.
First Steph. Not even a minute of running before getting pulled into the trees by black tendrils. The tall man not far behind. They had to keep going.
Second Jeff. He tried to put up a fight but it did nothing to help his cause. He got pulled up as well. They still had to keep going.
Third Vinny. He tried to create more time for the other two to get away or at least delay the inevitable. Didn't take long before he got pulled up into the trees by the tendrils.
Finally was a brunette boy. He knew what had to be done. He looked at the h/c girl running with him before he spoke.
"I'm sorry, Y/n." Due to the tone of his voice he was obviously horrified of what would happen to him but he cared too much for the girl with him to experience the same thing as everyone else. He smiled softly at her before he separated from her, running in a different direction to create more time.
"Evan!" The h/c girl watched in horror as her last friend had ran away. She couldn't stop though. Her body and the adrenaline wouldn't let her. The young girl cried as she kept running. She heard a blood curdling scream in the distance which shook her up. She knew one thing though. No matter what happened she had to keep going.
After what felt like running forever she finally escaped all the screaming of her friends as well as that dratted ringing as well. She ran into a small building where she knocked on a door. Not long, the door opened and she was greeted by a young boy who looked oddly familiar.
The h/c girl woke up from that nightmare only to find she wasn't alone in her room for much longer. She heard slow footsteps down the hallway to her door. She closed her eyes on a panic and pretended to be still asleep, calming herself down. The doorknob twisted open painfully slow and the door creaked open. She tried to best to control her breathing to not alert the intruder. Luckily, she was facing the wall so it wasn't too easy to recognize she was awake. The footsteps followed to her bed as she heard heavy breathing. Suddenly her covers we pulled back.
She honestly expected to get attacked or something before she felt a heavy weight sink down the bed behind her. The covers were pulled back up over her and the other person as she felt the heat of someone press against her back. Her breathing hitched slightly from the almost soothing feeling as well as the hot breath against the back of her neck.
"T-Tim?" She stuttered as she spoke quietly not exactly sure if she should have asked. She got a low hum in response as she sighed in relief. She was about to ask another question before she got cut off.
"I had a nightmare and I don't want to be alone. Just go to sleep." Tim closed him eyes, spooning the h/c woman as he wrapped his arms around her waist, nuzzling against her. She couldn't really do much else but obey his orders unless she planned to argue which she didn't feel like doing considering it was about three in the morning. She closed her eyes as a small blush spread across her cheeks. A soft snoring could be heard from Tim as she smiled softly before falling back asleep.
