Chapter 1: Coming Home

Logan P.O.V

I knew he would show up. I thought as i ran down the stairs to meet him. It had been three whole years since i saw his glittering smile.

As my crown bounced on my head, I thought of all the memories we shared as children. The one with the tree house. Pulling pranks on guards. Basically being everyone's worst nightmare. And him leaving me.

As I entered the large halls of the place our parents where already talking with him. "It is good to see u again Son." father commented shaking his hand.

" No, it is my honor to be in your presence again, your majesty. It is good to be back in these halls." He said taking a step back to admire his old home.

I stepped out from behind a coelom. As our eyes met, I felt like my heart began to crack all over again. "Well who do we have here?" he whispered in his oh-so-prince charming voice. As I started to walk toward him i comly responded.

"Prince Romen we have been expecting you." I quickly stopped in front of him as I looked him up and down. I took a step back. " What took so long?" He looked stunned by my sudden abruptness but still didn't answer.

Romans Pov

"What took so long?" he stated. I stood there silent. This wasn't the carefree lazy boy I knew so many years ago.

"Logan i-" he cut me off with a raise of his hand.

"Dont. We dont have time. You can explain to me 'Brother' why you got up and left me to run a kingdom all by myself." he stated comly. He then gave a signal for me to follow him.

I found him sitting on a bench in the courtyard. His dark blue suit looking perfect on him but again reminding me of what changed since i left. As I began to walk toward him he whispered "Why?" his voice cracked. "WHY?! You left me ALONE! FOR THREE YEARS! I have done my best to do it all. the kingdom has never been better. But ive never felt more alone." he again whispered the last part as tears formed in his eyes.

"I'm sorry." I stated walking toward him about to reach out for him. He quickly maneuvered out of the way.

"That.does.not.suffice. You left me. And all you are going to say is SORRY!?. What was more important then the welfare of the kingdom. Then helping your brother out?"

"Love." I answered quietly sitting beside him. "Blind love. The love of someone I never met. The love i was looking for." Logan looked shocked. I could see the questions behind his eyes.

"I guess your right on that one. So did you find it? Love?" he said as i saw tears threatening to spill at the corner of his eyes behind his black rimmed glasses. He must have felt them and quickly wiped them away.

"No, they ran off before I got there names. Thats why i left, to find them." I quietly answered still feeling really guilty.

"They? How on earth did you know you loved someone?" logan asked puzzled. "Why look if you don't know their name? Why go to all that trouble? How did you meet?"

"Wow chill with the questions." I laughed he was still as inquisitive as ever." Ok, first we all met at the ball a week before I left. They were talking with mother. They were best friends or that's what I could gather. Both looked a lot alike but one had the most comforting baby blue eyes. Wearing the cutest circular black glasses with a baby blue and wight suit. The others eyes where a deep purple. You could see the shadows and mistarys playing in his brain. His purple suit looked regal in the chandeliers light. " I said. As I looked up at the sky remembering how the light blue eyes looked when he found out I was a prince. The one with the dark purple eyes had been nervous and had said that they had some business to attend to. And they left.

"I searched High and low. Through mountains and valleys. Upstream and downstream. I went to the middle kingdoms. Searched every village. " I cast my eyes down as i said the last part as I knew what my brother would say next.

"Every Village? Even the dark ones?" Logan asked worry lased in his voice.

"Yes... I eventually lost hope. They had simply disappeared. So i made the long trek back here to help you. I'm sorry. Will you forgive me?" I looked at him with sad eyes hoping he would have mercy on me.

Logans Pov

He looked at me with they eyes of someone who had seen things. Who needed a place to be. A purpose after he lost so much. Another chance.

"I don't know Roman, I don't think the kingdom would want a prince who left them sitting on a thrown. It could cause havoc. But yes i forgive you. But that doesn't mean i trust you." i put my hands on his soldiers making him face me. "But I still deeply care about you and don't want you out of my site ever again." as I moved my hand he quickly wrapped his arms around me pulling me up into the air. I laughed a big laugh as he swung me around in the air. When he finally set me back down we were both out of breath.

"Your acting like a child." I reminded him in between breaths.

"And your acting like a way to serious king!" He said while trying to hold in a smile.

"Well someone has to be. Father is way to old and you are to childish and ideotic." I replied. Taking a few steps back ready for the chase that was about to occur.

" Well then it's a good thing i want to be a knight. I'm the best you got." He started. By the time he took a step forward I was already running. He was right. He is the best knight we had before he left. Maybe having him back Home wouldn't be so bad.
