Chapter 6: When they met

Chapter 6: When they met

-Flash back-

"You USELESS Child! You are good for nothing!" The man screamed. Hand clenched around the arm of a small boy. The floor they where standing on was covered in glass the poor boy had dropped. "You WILL pay for this!" The man said raising his hand to strike the boy.

"FERDINAND! What are you doing?!" A woman cried rushing over and removing the boy from the man's grip. "He is just a boy. He is allowed to make mistakes. I can always get another cup!" The woman said standing in between the two.

"But this isnt the first time Anjelica! He is always messing things up! I want him out of this house!" Ferdinand yelled. By this point the boy curled up on the floor shaking violently. He could barely breathe.

'Just keep breathing. Find something to focus on. Count to ten' A voice inside him said.he followed the directions. As his breathing returned he then wondered something. 'Wh-' As the boy was about to ask what the voice was the woman swept him up into her arms and ran out the door closing it and locking it behind her.

"Virgil." She said putting him down. The boy looked up at her with bright purple eyes. "I'm so sorry darling. I never should have brought you here. But it isn't safe anymore." The woman said. Seamingly bringing a basket out of nowhere. "Here this has everything you will need. Food, water, and a bed roll. Now you must run and never come back. Don't look behind you and don't tell ANYONE about what has happened to you. And I promise that one day I will find you. And I will welcome you back into my arms." the woman said handing Virgil the bassket and wrapping him in a hug.

Then when the woman let go Virgil gave her a small smile and ran. Straight into the woods. Not turning back. Even when he heard the man's scream. When he heard the small explosion. Especially not when he again heard another more profound blood curdling scream.

"Fuck you" Virgil said. And he kept running. he didnt stop not for a second until he was sure he was safe. Right until he collapsed and fell asleep right there on the forest floor. He didn't wake up for a long time. Not when a fox sniffed at him. Or when a dear ate grass right by his face. Not even when a young boy happened upon him in the forest and tried to wake him up. He only barely woke up when the boy picked him up and started carrying him toward his cottage. His eyes closed again afterwards the boy set him down on what he presumed was a bed. A few hours latter Virgil's eyes slowly opened to a small cozy baby blue bedroom. Around the room where fake animals that looked fluffy. He was covered in a thin blanket that was still vary cozy.

As his eyes traveled around the room they landed on a set of knifes on the table next to the bed. They had fresh blood on them. Virgil sied knowing there meaning. then his eyes traveled to the door. A scuffle could be heard outside. Then something was slammed up against the door. Virgil sat up straight prepared to fight. Then the door opened and a small boy was flung inside. Virgil then jumped out of the bed and closed and locked the door.

"LET ME IN YOU SON OF A B***!" A female voice screamed. "YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING LITTLE SACK OF S***. YOU CAN'T STAY IN THERE FOREVER I'LL JUST WAIT." the voice said again. Then he heard footsteps go presumably the opposite direction.

"Oh my god" Virgil whispered to himself. He then turned remembering the boy on the floor. Virgil rushed over to the boy about to pick him up but then thought better of it.

"F-fo-food" the boy managed to choke out. Virgil looked around the room locating the basket he had brought on the floor. When he goes to it and opened it he found a plethora of food. He decided to grab a cookie and a small container of water. Virgil slowly brought the water to the boys lips letting him drink slowly. He then gave the cookie to him and the boy was able to sit up and eat it with only a little difficulty.

"My names Patton. Whats your name?" Virgil just shook his head not giving an answer. "Oh ok then you can tell me when you ready.i-ill just call you Anx for now?" the boy suggested. just then A big breath escaped his lips from the pain. " I don't suppose you-" Patton paused to take in another a heavy breath clutching his side. "Do you have any bandages?" Virgil nodded his head. Taking it out of the basket.

"Uhg." Patton grond shrinking in on himself from pain. Virgil then rushed over pulling the boys hands from his side. Virgil then looked at Patton silently asking if it was okay for him to do the bandages.

"Ya go ahead. OW" The boy said as another wave of pain hit him. Virgil quickly got to work removing patton's  shirt and unwrapping the bandages. There was a huge gash on the boys side with blood poring out. Virgil pulled a towel out of his basket and cleaned the wound. When he was finished he wrapd the bandage around the torso covering the wound.

'There' Virgil thought to himself. He looked up at the boy he had just saved who was slumped over sleeping. He had soft blond hair. He was a little taller than virgil and was very thin. He had the most adorable freckles lining his face. 'Wait what?! No, no Virgil! no getting attached.' he told himself. He couldn't afford to get attached.

Virgil then picked up Patton. careful to avoid the wound and sat him on the bed. Pulling the covers over him. He then found a place on the floor pulling out the bed role and laying down on it. Sleep soon overtook him and he slipped into a deep dreamless sleep

 So... How ya feeling? Ya this took a lot of rewrites to get it this way. also please tell me if my chapters are to short i feel like they are. Again sorry about the late update. Hope you enjoyed this. Have a good day/night/afternoon. And hug the next person you see. BYEEEEEEEEEEEEE
