An: I'm sorry guys. I know, I know I'm terrible and it was a long wait but here it is. Thanks for being patient.*******************
"Can you actually believe Christie?! The nerve that woman has! When someone writes do not eat on food then you're NOT SUPPOSED TO EAT IT!" Aysha said though gritted teeth. She was so angry that if she were a cartoon then fumes would be coming out of her ears.
The new resident, Christie thought that it would be 'okay' to take someone else's lunch from the fridge.
She didn't touch anyone else's food but Aysha's_no one messes with Aysha, especially when it comes to food. I know that she'll definitely get revenge for it.
I wanted to talk her out of it but knowing Aysha, that will be a waste of breath. I've tried countless times and never succeeded. Last time I tried to help, I ended up with red hair for two weeks. Alhamdulillah that I'm a hijabi because that dye was hard to remove!
"Rookie mistake" Ishmail said with a half eaten sandwich on his hand.
It was lunch break and we were seated at the garden in the hospital having lunch.
Aysha was wearing a black abaya today with a white headscarf and Ishmail was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a casual button down shirt with his crisp white coat which now had little ketchup spots.
Aysha and Ishmail are the closest friends I have besides Allah.
I met Ishmail just after Daniya distanced herself from me. I don't want to be mean but she was just such a toxic person.
He was a medical student while I was studying nursing. We had a project in which we were to partner up as nurse and doctor to test out and better understand our roles in performing simple knee surgery and he was my partner.
He was handsome Masha'Allah but humble, smart and hardworking. We immediately clicked and became friends when he practically forced himself into my life by being an annoying leech. I was always closed off and grumpy but he would always try to make me smile with his corny jokes and lame medical humor.
At first I wanted nothing to do with him because he is my non mahram and I thought that maybe he was being smooth and wanted something else from me but then I realized that he was definitely not interested (which by the way was a little hurtful you know?) and only liked me as a sister. He was always there when I needed him and I love him almost as much as I loved Faris.
We then met Aysha when we started working at the hospital and we've been best friends ever since irrespective of the fact that the both of then were so similar to each that they couldn't stand each other most of the time.
"You have no idea.." She said with an evil glint in her eyes. I know that look..and that look definitely screams trouble.
"So...what do you plan for her? Make it interesting. Maybe just stay with the classic's like I don't know...roaches on her sandwich or maybe fake mold prank?" I smiled at Iss's suggestion. He has always disliked Christie and to be honest..she's not the easiest person to get along with.
"No no...I have something much better in mind" Aysha said with the same evil smile and this time rubbing her hands like an evil mastermind. Oh Ya Allah the friends I have! I inwardly complained. Sometimes I feel like I'm in a crazy thriller movie with these two.
"Hold up...Min? You haven't said anything today. Are you okay?" Iss asked with a frown.
Oh no! Seriously Mina! I scolded myself in my head. I should have tried much harder to hide my feelings but I'm horrible at lying and couldn't even fake interest in revenge plotting today. Maybe if like the normal Mina, I tried to talk them out of it like always then they wouldn't notice the eyebags on my face and the heap of trash I'm resembling today from lack of sleep because I haven't been able to sleep all weekend.
I don't want to tell them why I'm such a mess. I don't feel like telling them that my fiance ran out on me like I was some sort if disease.
I didn't want to tell them that he just might or might not be the famous Zayd that they've always heard of. Maybe it was a coincidence...it must definitely be a coincidence that they both shared the same name and confusing hatred for me.
I didn't want to tell them that I picked up his phone and I'm now contemplating on answering the calls he has been receiving...one particular number keeps on calling him over and over again. Maybe it's him and he wants his phone back because I'm being a complete psychopath by not giving him his phone back.
Psychopath Mina?! Really? I scolded myself for being dumb. I can't even think logically now. Oh my Rabb!
"Oops! Lunch break is over. Don't you have an appointment right now Iss? I also have a patient due today soo.." I said quickly while fumbling my hands in an attempt to delay the inevitable so they both rolled their eyes at me.
"Haha... Real sneaky" Aysha said bemusedly "But you're right though. I also have a shift but don't think that this is over young miss! We will all go get ice cream tomorrow after work and you'll tell us all about the dinner"
"Yeah sure...I'm so excited!" I said sarcastically and picked up the mat we were sitting on and folded it.
I entered the maternity wing and saw my nervous patient. I looked at her and smiled to myself.
One baby at a time.

"Hi Kate" I greeted with a half smile as I entered the the Gucci store.
It was little Meera's birthday on thursday and I had to do a last minute shopping today since the past week had been hectic. I already ordered a watch and had it engraved. I only realized later that it was the only one of its kind.
"Welcome back Mina. Your watch will be here soon" She said while speaking something into her phone. I just gave her a court nod and browsed through the other items. I settled on a cute bag and some princetown slippers.
Finally I went back to the counter where I checked out and was also given the watch which said "as long as He's with you.."
It's what I always told her when she was having a bad day or a rough night because of the 'monsters under her bed'. Whenever it happened I would say "As long as He is with you.." and she'll finish with "I'll always be safe"

"Hiya!" Faris greeted when I entered the house lazily.
"Hi"
"So...how was work today?"
"Hectic! Anyway I'll be in my room if anyone needs me alright?"
"Alright! You need to cheer up though!" He said.
I just ignored him and went up to my room. I jumped down on my soft mattress for a quick nap when I heard a buzz on my bed side table.
It spooked me a little because my phone was in my bag until I remembered that I left the guy's phone on my bedside table in the morning.
I picked it up and I could see a notification.
