Half My Love

Chapter 8: James

{The day before}:

Since Thersa was so busy with her tests and didn't have time to help me with the thing about Tina, I decided to tell Tony everything and take his advice.We met at a coffee place next to my house and I told him everything from A to Z. "Well my dear friend, since you're a guy you should never be shy to tell your feelings for a girl. If you love her then go tell her or someone else will take her from you." He says. "But how, when and where" I ask. "Any time and any place would be the perfect moment when you decide to make it perfect" he says. "Well you're right, I will talk to her tomorrow" I say.

"Which university will you apply for next year?" He asks. "Didn't decide yet, and you?" I reply. "I am thinking of moving to Canada. My girlfriend lives there." He says. "It's strange how love can make us go anywhere in the world even without thinking about it." He adds. "Ask me about it."We both laugh.

I invited him to a horse race. I bargained that the black horse would win and he bargained over the greyish horse. "Go...Go...Go faster, faster my dear I have to win." He says and seems to be very excited. I really didn't care about which horse was going to win. All I was thinking about was Tina. I was thinking about the day when I would tell her all my feelings without having any fear of getting rejected.

Tina was the girl who stole my heart from the first day she and her sister moved to our town with their grandpa. She had that dimpled, devilish smile. She was the girl that stole my  heart at the first sight. When I first met her, she was sitting on the bench crying and telling me about how she missed her parents so much. She hugged me and I  felt something that I had never felt before...Tony shouts returning me to the real world, "The brownish horse won, neither yours nor mine. Hard luck". "Its okay." I say.

This morning I woke up and I took more time than before to prepare myself. This day was so important to me. I entered the school and found Thersa and Tina talking. I wondered what they were talking about.

My last period was P.E. I texted Tina before I started praticing. "Tina please, can we meet today after school in the football ground?" At the end of the hour I read the text from Tina. "Oh yes of course. I will be there very soon"

After few seconds Tina was standing in front me and I was trying  to have the  power and tell her everything, when she suddenly says "I love you James. I have loved you from a long time ago. I tried to forget you by dating boys but it didn't work" She said. "Ohhh...I actually texted you to tell you that I loved you  more than anything in this world." I couldn't believe what was happening. Was I dreaming or something?

She actually came closer, and closer, and even closer than before. Then she kissed me. I just couldn't stop myself from kissing her back. I kissed her another time and said "I love you" once again...
