"For god's sake Luke where did you leave it?"
"I don't know Mum I'm sorry look it really doesn't matter let's just get in our taxi." Luke protested, Liz having been grilling him about where he'd left his raincoat, no one could seem to remember where it had last been seen.
"Liz, we'll be charged for the time it's sat there too, come on let's just go." Joy, Calum's mum (the only other adult accompanying the four boys) said, "Let's just get to the hotel and get sorted out."

"Hi, Mrs Hemmings? My name's Layla." The girl of 5'1 had been the one to knock on one of the hotel rooms the boys were using's door, since she, Josie and Arna had been informed that that was where they were gathered.
"It's lovely to meet you Layla, I've heard an incredible amount about you from my son," Liz smiled, turning to look at Luke, "I understand you can take the boys on a tour, help them get to know the area?"
"We certainly can." Layla grinned, attempting to peer past Mrs Hemmings and catch a glimpse of the boys sat on the beds behind her. "Oh, and this is Josie and Arna."
"Nice to meet you both." Liz stepped to the side, sighed, and smiled, "Off you go then boys."
Four grinning teenagers stampeded out of the room, Liz muttered 'have fun', Joy called 'see you later', and that was that. The seven of them were together and had the whole of London in front of them.
"You're so tiny!" Michael shrieked, laughing in Layla's direction.
"Thanks babe, hadn't noticed." She grinned back at him.
Calum poked Layla, Josie and Arna on their upper arms in turn, "You're so real and here." He laughed.
Arna rolled her eyes at him, "No shite, Sherlock."
Luke laughed and Layla gave him a huge hug, Ashton threw his arm around Arna's shoulder, and Michael clapped his hands, "Right," he declared, "Ladies, we are in your hands. Where shall we go first?"
"My vote lies with Starbucks." Arna announced.
"I'm thinking Maccas." Josie suggested.
Luke gaped at her, "You call McDonalds Maccas here too?"
"No you numbskull she's Australian. Remember?" Layla shook her head at him and linked her arm with Josie's as she lead the group out of the hotel and onto the street, "How about we go get a coffee and discuss our options?"
"Sounds good to me." Calum smiled down at Layla, who shook her head at his sheer height.
"Bloody giants." She muttered, as she lead her six friends down the road.

Once the lot of them had found a Pret A Manger (carrying on a tradition Layla had with her mum) and had bought enough coffee, fruit juice and popcorn to keep them entertained, they began discussing what they could do with their first day.
"I don't want to be boring and touristy." Calum said.
Michael turned to look at him, "This is probably our one chance to see all that stuff Cal, we don't have to do it everyday."
"We have to take you on the Eye at night." Josie decided.
Arna plonked down her plastic juice-filled cup, "Yes. Yes we do."
"Oh, oh my god, Jose, tell them about next week." Layla grabbed Josie (who was sat to her right) on the arm.
"Oh my god Jo yes!" Arna added.
"Why, what's happening next week?" Ashton asked, swirling his cup's base in a circle as he asked.
"Well," Josie grinned, "My parents are away, and..." she paused for effect, "We can all stay at mine!"
"Oh my god that is perfect." Michael slammed both palms down on the table, eliciting a glare from the elderly couple sat at the table next to them.
Luke, who was sat across from Layla, unlike the other boys, hadn't reacted to the news.
Layla, obviously (she was staring right at him) picked up on this, "You don't seem satisfactorily thrilled Lucas. What's wrong?"
"I'm never gonna be able to persuade my mum to let me stay the week!" He groaned, running a hand through his blonde locks.
Layla smirked, "Ladies and gentlemen, it seems our task for the day is clear. Let us commence operation Bust Luke Out." She proceeded to make air quotes around her last three words with her ring and middle fingers.
Michael snorted, "You are a massive nerd," Calum glared at him, "But you're right. Let's do this thing."
