In a world not far away at all, because this one was ours...

Walking along the street, in a purple hoodie, messy hair, and red glasses, was a young high schooler. Walking solo until..

Kid: Hey!

They started to wave towards him as he got closer, running right past him, and ran up to their real friends. They weren't referring to him. As usual. And he knew.
This boy was Marshall Murata, or well, what he called himself, Satoki. Satoki was a sophomore in Greenville High. This boy doesn't really have any friends, but no, not because of that, it's because he doesn't want any. After past experiences, he noticed a pattern with "friends", he'd make a friend one semester, they'd talk, they'd hang, everything would be good, until the next semester, every time he thought. Every single time, they'd just move on, like the friendship had one of those "limited time only" labels. This continued to occur until he realized that if he didn't want the pain of losing a friend, don't make any at all, and since then, he's rejected every friendship he was offered. Friendship is just a game. True friendship doesn't exist, he thought.

This was pitiful.

Even because of this, Satoki wasn't really depressed, he still had the internet, where he was free to do and be whatever he wanted. It was his only happiness, he thought. This could disgust some, but this was his mindset. And his parent didn't care. In fact, his parent didn't really care about anything Satoki did. Ever since the day he lost his mother, his father never cared much for his son unless he did something major. Satoki's dad was always out of the house anyway, the two almost entirely shut each other out, losing their relationship because of her death. But enough backstory, we have a story to tell.

Satoki walked down the halls of his school, heading to his first class of the day. This was his third week as a sophomore. And it's just the same as last year so far. He walked into his first class, with his "teacher" greeting him.

Celene: Good morning Satoki~

This was Celene Yamada, who has recently started teaching as this was her first year. She's pretty young for a teacher too, but she was odd, as she had a strange liking to some of the boys in the class, no one told any staff or adults about this because no one cared. Satoki being one of the lucky or unlucky boys, depending on the mindset, using an odd tone against them, but it didn't bother Satoki too much, as he wasn't the only one she did this too.

Satoki nodded in a bit of disgust and went to his desk. By him, across on the right and left of him were two of his classmates, that he didn't account as friends. They just started talking to him out of the blue on the first day and haven't stopped since, he's dealt with them since then.

The first of the two was Crow Aoki, a strange boy who always had his hood on, long black hair, and eyes always wide open, he never looked tired, always full of energy. He spends most of the class writing in a brown notebook where he writes stories and doodles. He loves and researches tons of paranormal, of course, the whole school thinks he's crazy and one of those edgy kids.

The other was Zoella Erina, or just Zoe for short. A bit punk, red and black haired, short girl. She isn't one of the popular girls, and is in fact enemies with them but no one quite knows why. She's been a long friend of Crow's, who has been crushing on her for years, and had recently grown to Satoki, liking him for his stubbornness, most likely trying to break him. Either way, the two both cared for him.

He set his bag under his desk, almost immediately after Crow got really close scooching over to him.

Crow: Hey.

Satoki: Hey.

Crow slammed his notebook on Satoki's desk, on a page with a doodle. The doodle was a well drawn female demon in skimpy clothing, or better known as a succubus.

Crow: You know what this is?

Satoki looked at the drawing for a second, squinting his eyes

Satoki: a sin?

Crow: This beauty is a succubus.

He laughed, making a crazed smile

Crow: Isn't she beautiful?!?!

Satoki: uh.. Sure, good job.

Zoe took off her headphones and leaned over

Zoe: I tried to tell him it looks way too sexualized,

Crow: NO IT ISN'T! SHE'S PeRfEcT, likeyouZoe-

He said that last part quick and quiet

Zoe: Maybe you should start drawing stuff like this,
She shows him a picture of a girly pony on her phone. Crow screeches and pushes it away, they both laugh. Satoki sits between them rewatching his favorite anime, "Useless Maid" on his phone. The series was about a maid who could never do her job correctly. The two peek at it.

Zoe: Ohhh! Are you watching, eh what's it called, that Joey anime?

Crow: Is this a beach episode?

Zoe: You know, girls in anime have such exaggerated body proportions,

Crow: Well so do guys, with those large muscles, there's no way a high school student could be that buff,

Satoki ignored them and kept him to himself in his own little world until the bell rang as class began. Ms. Yamada started to teach and hand out tests as the three stopped chatting. Crow doodled during class, Zoe scrolled through her phone, and Satoki sat there cupping his head, waiting for the day to end, so he could head back to his sanctuary.

The day ended and Satoki put his earbuds on and started to head home. He didn't notice Crow starting to run behind him, calling him from the distance.

Crow: Satoki!... Satoki!... Satoki!...

He ran up next to him

Crow: SATOKI!

Satoki flinched and took an earbud out

Satoki: What?!

Crow looked around to make sure no one was near and whispered,

Crow: Have you heard?

Satoki: What?

He talked normally,

Crow: Have you heard?

Satoki: About..

Crow: There's this weird creature spotted around town! Look look look look!

He shoved his phone in Satoki's face making his signature smile. He showed him a picture that was trending on social media, it was a blurry picture of a purple furry thing running, it was hard to tell what it is.

Crow: There's no way this could just be some random animal! Have you seen a purple animal?! This is a sign of the supernatural! Maybe a spirit! Or an alien! A creature from another world!-

Satoki: I get it, I get it, but is this even real?

Crow: Of course it is! Why else would it be all over the internet! And here's the interesting part look right-

Satoki: Crow, that is obviously just another photoshopped picture someone made to get attention. The "supernatural" doesn't exist. If you're gonna research anything, research when Useless Maid gets a season 2, I'm dying to know. Thanks.

Satoki smiles and walks off leaving Crow.

Crow: Oh, ok.. Bye.

He walked the other direction

Crow: I know that thing is real. And I'm going to find it.

Satoki made it home, there was no car outside so his father wasn't home as usual. He got his house key and unlocked the door, walking in, placing his bag down. He headed to the kitchen and had a small snack. He walked upstairs and lied on his bed, sighing in relief.

Satoki: Good job me, you made it through another day. Only 520 more to go.

He hugged his pillow for comfort.

Satoki: Well time to reward myself.

He grabbed his phone and started to surf through the web. He told himself he wouldn't take too long as he had to study as always.

An hour passed.

And another.

He looked at the time and started to panic a bit. He ran around his room for a bit until finally sitting down on his desk and pulling out paper and pencil, looking at his notes. Trying to decide what things he does and doesn't need to remember. Was Algebra even going to be used in his future? He slowly started to fall asleep lying his head down against his desk.

After some time, he woke. It was night. He looked out his window and looked towards the stars. Would it be like this always? He thought. He sighed and reached to close the window, but before he could, he heard a noise in his front yard. A trash can falling. He looked out. Nothing was there. He shrugged it off. He started to close the window until he heard rustling in the bushes. He sighed and went outside to see what was going on.

He opened his front door, leaving it open, and walked outside, with an old baseball bat, just in case. He looked through the bushes. Nothing was there. He picked up the knocked down trash can and placed it back in place. He walked around his house for whatever was out there. He saw something run behind his shed. He slowly walked towards it.

Satoki: Come on... come on out...

He jumped in behind the stage

Satoki: FIGHT ME FOUL BEAST-

It was a raccoon.

Satoki: ..Yo. You better head back to The Milano.

The raccoon hissed and ran away. Satoki sighed in relief and walked back to his front yard to go back inside but then. The door was shut. He left it open, which was a bad idea in the first place, but now it was closed. His dad wasn't home either.

Satoki held the bat tightly and opened the door. He shut it quietly and tip-toed through the house. He looked in the kitchen and living room. Nothing in sight. He walked upstairs. Nothing in the bathroom. He looked in his dad's room. Nothing in there either. His heart started to pound.

Somebody was in the house. No. Somebody was in his room.

He breathed in deeply, and kicked down the door letting out a battle cry.

Satoki: AHHH!!

???: AHHH!!!!

Satoki stopped. And stared at what was in his room.

???: Uh...

The creature shrugged looking at him.

Uzunya: Meow?

Satoki: ...

Satoki screamed.

Satoki: AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Uzunya: AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Satoki swung the bat and hit Uzunya. Knocking him out. Satoki took another look at the creature, got dizzy, and ended up also knocked out, landing right next to him.

Believe it or not, this was the start of a literal out of this world friendship.
