The sun began to rise on an early Saturday morning, Satoki in his bed sleeping soundly. He planned on waking up much earlier but it was already almost noon. He slowly woke yawning and rubbing his eyes, unwrapping himself from his Yuriko body pillow. He looked in front of him, and there was Uzunya curled up at the end of the bed. He kicked him off his bed immediately.
Uzunya: WAH- Owie!
Uzunya rubbed his head
Uzunya: What was that for?
Satoki: Why aren't you sleeping on the cat bed we got from the neighbor's?
He climbed out of bed and put on his new pair of glasses.
Uzunya: It was uncomfortable. Your bed is much more cozy!
They both pouted. Satoki looked at the time on his phone, and flipped.
Satoki: Ahh! The new Useless Maid episode is out!
Uzunya: The wha?
Useless Maid was an ecchi comedy based on a manga about a maid that trained to be great for her master, but failed greatly leading to shenanigans. It had lewd moments but also some wholesome ones. It is currently on it's second season. Of course Satoki preferred watching the show with the original subtitled japanese version than the english, but he'd go back and compare both versions for fun.
Satoki: It's a show.
Uzunya: Ah! Where is it being held?
Satoki: ..my phone?
Uzunya: Is that what that rectangle is?
Satoki: ...
Satoki realized that his show could wait, and he should explain some things to the cat. Satoki set Uzunya up on a chair and pulled out a small white board and began to draw and write on it.
Uzunya: What are we doing?
Satoki: If you're gonna stay here, you're gonna need to learn a few things. Well.. a lot of things.
Uzunya: Come on I already finished my 8 months of school!
Satoki: You only go for 8 months?
Uzunya: Yeah! How long do you go?
Satoki chuckled in sweat
Satoki: Alright first I need to test how dumb you are.
Uzunya: Excuse me-
Satoki showed him the board with a few doodles.
Satoki: This is a dog! It goes woof! This is a cat! They are nuisances that like to screw up someone's life!
Uzunya made a face.
Uzunya: Are you trying to insult me? I ain't that stupid!
Satoki: Alright then, what do you not know?
Uzunya: Is there magic in this world? I haven't seen a bit! Or felt any Mana from anyone!
Satoki: The closest thing we have to magic is technology.
Uzunya: Technology?
Satoki showed Uzunya his "rectangle". He turned it on and started to play a simple music game on it. The astounded Uzunya.
Uzunya: WHAT KIND OF WIZARDRY IS THIS?
Satoki: This thing is called a cell phone. It can call and text anyone from around the world!
Uzunya: Anyone?
Satoki: If they pick up. It can also provide entertainment. You can watch or play millions of games and videos!
Uzunya: :0
Satoki handed it to him.
Satoki: Try it
Uzunya put his stubby fingers on the screen, sliding it as the game instructed him to do so.
Uzunya: This is amazing!
