My Princess || Harringrove

Ch. 3

 Steve was on break and again was standing outside of Scoops. At least making an effort to have a girl notice him. Until two did.

"Hey, Steve!"

Steve looked next to him to see Max and El carrying bags. The bags are from GAP at least that's what it seems like to him.

"hey guys, what are you up to?"

"we were buying gifts for Billy." Max responses while she places her bags down next to a bench that Max, El, and Steve sit on.

"so i guess you are excited Max."

"very! I just hope he likes the gifts. I don't really know what kind of stuff he likes but i bought some stuff that would look nice on him."

"i'm pretty sure he will love the gifts."

"when does Billy get to go home today?" El says while tilting her head a bit.

"around 12:34."

"...and it's what?" Steve says while looking up at a clock.

"oh, it's only 10:21."

"almost time!"

"yeah, hey give him this for me Max." Steve hands Max a small box.

"yeah, but what is it?" Max tries to peak in the box a little.

"NOTHING!.....Just something that needed to be said."

"uh okay then" Max stands up and picks up the bags.

"We will be heading off now. Bye Steve"

"okay you two be safe!"

"we will mom!" they say at the same time while walking away.

Steve smiles softly and goes back into Scoops.

Max and El are waiting in Max's living room watching cartoons, then the door opens.

"hey..."

Max jumped up at the voice.

"BILLY!" Max jumps out of her seat and rushes to Billy.

"hey Max."

Max hugs him. For the first time in a really long time.

"this is new?"

"shut up and hug me back!"

"jeez still bossy as ever." Billy slightly hugs her back.

After what had seemed like 3 hours they let go.

"I have some stuff for you." Max walks to the side of the couch and picks up some bags.

"oh?"

"ooOOOoooOhHHhhHH" Max says in a dumb voice just to mock him.

Billy knew at that moment, that he really did miss Max.

"here just take the bags... i don't really know the stuff your into but i got you some shirts that might look nice on you." 

"Everything looks nice on me." Max laughs at that comment. 

"yeah you wish!"

El stands up. "Box."

"oh, right we bumped into Steve at the mall and he wanted us to give this box to you."

"Box? What Box?"

"hold on lemme find it." Max shuffles through some of the bags. 

"i can't seem to find it..."

"pocket." El says pointing at Max's back pocket. 

"oh..." Max reaches into her pocket and hands Billy the box.

Billy opens the box to find a note.

"Steve wanted to give me this, right?"

"yep now read it."

"um okay"
