Jason's POV

They had stopped right in front of the nose of the skull like shape protruding in roads of Berkeley Hills. Jason was hit with a wave of memories he'd had there, it hit him like a truck.

He moved closer to the door that must have look like a maintenance door to the mortals. He remembered, and he was glad for it, that this was actually the door leading back home, leading back to his family, his people and leading back to Reyna. He walked up to the doors, only to find Gwen and Bobby on watch duty. He looked at them and smiled, a knowing smile.

"Do you know why life's this cruel?" He asked

Gwen, who'd been looking at Jason apprehensively, now had her eyes wide. She looked as though she couldn't believe her ears. They all thought he'd forgotten about. . . about everything, actually. And by the way he'd acted when he first returned, they all assumed that he wouldn't be getting any of it back, either. But now, Gwen just hugged him because they realized that he actually does remember...

Jason had been raised by the wolves since he was 2 years old. They took care of him like one of their own pack. Lupa had somehow managed to teach him a bit of English and they'd sent him to find Camp Jupiter when he was 4 years old, accompanied by some of Lupa's real offspring as they weren't sure whether or not he'd be able to survive on his own.

On his way he'd once seen, what looked like, a quite tattered looking old woman on the streets. She was dressed in rags which seemed like just a bunch a different clothes sewn together. She had searched in her tin and given Jason a gold coin. The wolves by Jason, growled at her but didn't attack. Jason wasn't sure whether or not he should take it.

The old woman had waited patiently, all the while, humming some sort of lullaby. In the end, Jason decided to take it. He was only a kid and thought that if the wolves weren't attacking this woman then he could probably trust her. The old woman's form started to glow and the wolves stepped in front of Jason blocking his view. When they moved away and started heading towards their destination again, Jason followed, wondering where the old woman had gone.

Jason had discovered that the the coin was actually a sword when he was playing with it one night when they had stopped to rest. He'd nearly impaled himself and he could barely lift the thing but he managed to convert it back into coin form and he was scared enough not to use it until he really needed to.

When he managed to get to Camp, the wolves left him in front of the two people who were on watch duty that day. Those two people just happened to be Gwen and Dakota.

Jason didn't want to leave the wolves. He didn't have much experience with other people and he'd grown quite close to the wolves who'd protected him from many dangers. In his sadness, the 4 year old asked the two people in front of him, "Do you know why life's this cruel?"

Gwen and Dakota just smiled at Jason. They took him inside, the latter unbeknownst of the happiness about to make its way into his life once he'd made his way across the river.

They entered Camp Jupiter, Jason in the lead alongside Gwen and Bobby, the Greeks all walking behind them. Percy and Annabeth were smiling, the rest of them had awed expressions on their faces as they waded through the Little Tiber looking at the grand and huge place lying between Berkeley Hills and Oakland Hills. That, however, was not what caught Jason's attention. What caught his attention was the person standing on the other side of the river, the only person Jason had been wanting to see for the past few months, the person he loves. There, standing before him, was Reyna.

And, this time, Jason stepped out of the river, unbeknownst of the sadness about to make its way into his life...

A/N : Okay, that was a cliffhanger. Take a WILD guess as to who the woman who gave Jason his coin/sword is. My exams are almost over so,
