Jason's POV

It felt just like the day he'd met her for the first time.

He'd forgotten just how beautiful she really was. Seeing her, just then, it took his breath away and he had to physically restrain himself from running up and kissing her.

Jason would have done anything to be next to her right now. He would have done anything to be by her side, holding her hand and losing himself in the eternal voids of her endless onyx eyes.

But all he could do now was wait until... the moment. The moment she would let him back in, the moment she would let him be hers again. He walked up to her, Gwen and Dakota, not leaving his side. Gwen's eyes were alight with happiness. She looked at Reyna, maybe trying to convey the message that the Jason they knew was back.

Reyna, however, was not looking at Gwen. She looked at Jason for a moment, just as she'd looked at everyone else before her. Jason hadn't expected anything different. He knew that she excelled in hiding her emotions. The only person to rival her might have been Nico Di-Angelo, the Ghost King himself. Both of them, it seemed, had exceptions. They were completely closed towards new people or people they didn't want to put their trust in but had a small list of people who knew the real them. Jason was a part of Nico's, however small, list and he had been part of Reyna's, equally small, list as well. He believed they let him in because of the circumstances. They told him because he never pushed.

It wasn't his fault that Juno took him away and Reyna knew that but it isn't easy to get back in if you were thrown out once. As he looked into her eyes he could feel the tension hanging in the air, or maybe that was just him.

They all walked into camp, stopping in front of the Via Principalis. Percy was staying in the fifth cohort and so was Annabeth. The rest of them were seperated into the different cohorts according to alphabetical order.

 Because Rome.

Jason was also going to be in the fifth cohort. This was not his choice, though, even if he was given one, he would have chosen the fifth. Everyone went to their assigned cohorts, to get some proper sleep. Of the party from Camp Half-Blood, Jason, along with Annabeth, Percy and Nico, stayed back. Frank, Hazel and Reyna also stayed. They didn't say anything, just hugged. They hugged because words were not needed.

When they stepped back, everyone had easy-going smiles on their faces.

"I think I'll turn in for the day, see y'all later." Said Percy, dragging Annabeth along with him in the direction of the barracks.

Everyone else agreed as they were also quite tired and decided to crash in their respective cohorts as well. Jason was the only one, except Reyna, who stayed back instead of going. Percy, Hazel and Dakota were in charge of welcoming the ones who were new to their cohort. Percy took charge temporarily. Jason believed that they had already accepted him as their 'honorary' centurion.

Jason cracked a smile. Then he looked to his right and saw Reyna. He really had forgotten how beautiful she is. No amount of make up could make someone this beautiful. No daughter of Aphrodite could match her beauty. This was a beauty that was eternal, that was timeless. Make up was not needed. The kind of beauty of the Gods and Goddesses.

He stared at her unashamedly because he couldn't help it. He couldn't help but admire her Goddess-like features that could either strike you down or give you the energy and courage to do absolutely anything

"What are you looking at?" Said Reyna, looking into the depths of the Little Tiber seen in the distance.

Jason's smile grew even wider. He didn't know whether she said that on purpose but now he became very sure that that day was almost exactly like the day he'd first met her. . .

A/N : Okay, I now I haven't updated in forever but I have a good explanation, hear me out. I was reading burning maze and...

(If you haven't read it then please get lost. I'm being very kind, I even said please. Just go if you don't want to face eternal heart break. PLEASE!)

... I got to the part where (if you haven't read it and you're still here then don't tell me I didn't warn you) Jason dies. I was way to consumed in grief to actually write something and then I reached the end and then Leo... His reaction was the worst, honestly. Okay I'm done ranting. Forgive me if you can,

Yours Truly
