Chapter 5 - Interview (part 2)

"So, tell me about yourself."

"Uh, well I'm in my second year of film school in LA and I'm really enjoying it so far. I work part time as an intern at Whirlwind Photography, and I'm shadowing an editor right now," you respond quickly, hoping Skeppy will note your experience.

"Okay, cool! Do you just work on photos or do you do videos too?" he asks.

You slightly panic. Your experience is mostly photos so far, but you can't tell him that! He won't hire you!

"At work we only do photos, but in school we practice with a little bit of both." You pause, trying to think of other things. "Oh and I have some practice with editing my own videos for YouTube!"

"You have a channel?" Skeppy questions excitedly.

"Yeah! I don't post very often but I like to think my videos are pretty good haha...it's called "Y/n and Life. I mostly do vlogs or gaming videos."

"Oooooo well I'll check some out later....darling." He giggles. "Anyways, how much time do you think you would have every day to edit for me? You seem pretty busy with school and work and YouTube."

Holy macaroni. He called me darling. I heard him say it. And his laugh ughh so cute I wish I was recording.

"I only have class two days a week, and work is only on the weekends, part time. So I would say at least 4 hours every day?"

"Woah!! That's a lot of time, that would be perfect!"

You blush and your heart rate speeds up, hoping you'll get the position.

"Next question. How good is your PC and what software do you use to edit?"

"Oh I mostly just use iMovie haha." You say, stifling laughter.

"You...what? iMovie?"

"I'm just trolling sorry! I use Final Cut Pro X. Sorry. I didn't mean to, sorry."

What am I doing? This is an interview I'm supposed to be serious!!

"WHAT THE HECK I thought you were serious!" Skeppy laughs for a minute and soon you're laughing with him. "And you don't have to say sorry. It was funny! If your videos are as funny as that, you're basically hired. The other candidate dude was too obsessed with all the perpendicularity of the bisectors and all that business. You're actually, like, a person! That I can talk to!"

"Uh, thanks?"

"No problem darlingggg."

He stops for a second.

"Oh that reminds me! You gotta keep calling me cutie! It's only fair that we both have nicknames."

"Okayy....cutie." Your face flushes again.

"There we go y/n! Better already. That's all for your interview, I'll check out your videos later today. Thanks for your time! Or wait. Are you supposed to say that to me? Doesn't matter. Byeeeee!!"

"Bye!" You say back quietly, sad to have to end the conversation.

Call ended.
