Chapter 9 - What a Flirt

I'm down - Y/n 8:09pm

You call Skeppy on discord and he picks up immediately.

"Hey y/n!! How was your day?" He asks happily.

"It was good, you?"

"Mine was great! I streamed which you already saw and then my awesome editor sent me a finished video so now I don't have to worry about that anymore." He answers. "Hypixel?"

"Yeah Hypixel is good. And who's this awesome editor you're talking about hmm?" You blush as you load Minecraft on your PC.

"Well hmmmm I dunno. It's a secret. She's like, super talented though."

"Thanks Skep, I worked really hard on the video."

You two are now on a skyblock island together.  

"Uhh do you know how to make a cobblestone generator? Cuz I don't."

"Yeah, you go like this."

You break five blocks of dirt and place water and lava at each end. They flow to the middle and create cobblestone, just like you planned.

"Ohhh that's how you do it. Makes sense. Can you make us pickaxes? Then we can both mine it and it will go faster."

"Sure thing."

You break the tree and plant a sapling where it previously was. You make a crafting table and craft some sticks. After breaking 6 cobblestone, you combine it with the sticks to make two stone picks. You drop one for Skeppy and keep one for yourself.

"Thank youuu!" Skeppy gets his pick out and starts breaking the cobble on one side, so you go on the other. "Teammmworrrk can make a dreaaaam work," he sings into his mic loudly.

"Wow, you're a pretty good singer Skeppy," you say sarcastically.

"Nah I'm just okay. Wanna play truth or dare? Or truth or truth because that's easier."

"Truth or truth please. And I get to go first." You say to your crush.

"Okayyy bossy you can go first."

"Bossy? No you're the bossy one!"

"How?"

"You're made me make a generator and picks for both of us while you just stood there!"

"Hey, I'm really good at just standing here. And I look amazing doing it, right?"

Your heart flutters and your face reddens yet again.

He always looks great but I can't say that what do I say ahhhh

"You always look great silly."

Shittt why did that just come out of my mouth I'm literally so stupid.

"Wow y/n what a flirt! I didn't know that about you." He laughs to make up for the few seconds of uncomfortable silence.

"Yeah, ya know, I'm the biggest flirt around." You lie, pretending you're like that around everyone. "What happened to truth or truth by the way?"

"Oh right, yeah, my bad. Truth or truth?"

"Truth."

"Who do you think is better at flirting, me or you?"

"Me, one hundred percent."

"Reallyyy. Okay let's test it. Forget truth or truth. For the next...week we have to flirt as much as possible and whoever does it the best by the end of the week gets...I don't know. A prize or something."

"How about the full amount your next second channel video makes?" You suggest.

"Perfect. Let's start. Ready, set.....go!"

He switches on his facecam right away, presumably to make his flirting more effective. So you do the same.

"Awe, Skeppy you look so cute today." You blush but hold steady eye contact.

"Thanks!! And you're blushing already? How adorable. I wish you were here so I could hug you."

You blush harder and cover your cheeks with your hoodie sleeves, forgetting this is a game. It feels so real and just... right.

Skeppy giggles and smiles at you. "Y/n, don't be shy, I want to see your pretty faceee. Move your hands please?"

You shake your head. "No way cutie. I'm no where near as pretty as you." You wink at him and he pretends to faint.

"Oh no! I've been struck by Cupid's arrow! The prettiest girl I've ever seen just winked at me! Someone call and ambulance!"

"Shut uppp I'm nothing compared to you. You make me smile every day, even when I don't get to see your face."

"And I've only known you for a few weeks and I'm already in love." He replies, gazing into his webcam.

You make a small squeal of surprise and blush redder than ever before. "In--in love?"

"Gosh, you're so beautiful. I have to go record a video, but I'll text you later, okay?" He smiles widely at you.

"Okay Skeppy. See ya!"

"Byeeee!" He ends the call and you flop onto to your bed, screaming happily into a pillow.

You're in college, but this feels like your first love all over again.

Yet it's all just a game.
