Chapter 3 The Dragon, The Nun and The Stray

(Dante POV)

I woke up with the sun shining on my face as I yawn. It felt like the sun was using all its light just to force me out of bed. Unfortunately for me, I yielded to it’s light.

I try to get up and stretch but I feel the weight of something on me. Nothing too heavy but enough to stop me from getting up or moving from the position I’m in.

I look down to see my little nekomata friend, Koneko, still naked, snuggling into my chest as if it was a pillow with her arms wrapped around my torso as if for dear life.

I smile.

Dante: "Of course"

I say, stroking her hair in order to wake her up, but she just smiles and holds on tighter.

Dante: "Come on kitten, time to wake up"

I shake her a bit to wake her up. She opens her eyes and rubs them to get the sleep out of them and then looks at me.

Koneko: "(Yawns) Good morning Onii-chan. Sleep well?"

I nod.

Dante: "I did. Question is, did you?"

She blushes and smiles as she snuggles back into my warmth.

Koneko: "Best sleep I've had"

She snuggles more into my chest as I chuckle.

Dante: "Come on Koneko we need to get to school, and I can't walk in with no top on"

She frowns and gives me a puppy eye's look. Or kitten eye's look and I sigh.

Dante: "Come on Koneko don't give me that, I would like to stay here as well but you know we can't"

She sighs and smiles.

Koneko: "Ok. But I'm doing the same tonight"

Dante(thoughts): "(sigh) Of course you are"

We get out of bed and start to get ready. I had a walk in bath room and wardrobe in my room so I let Koneko use the shower first and me afterwards.

After we got ready in our usual attire, her in the school uniform and me with my black leather jacket, we walk down the stairs and into the kitchen to see Akeno and Kiba at the table with breakfast while being sat across from each other.

Dante: "Morning you two"

They look at us and smile.

Akeno: "Good morning Dante"

Kiba: "Morning"

Koneko sat next to Kiba as I went to make some breakfast for the both of us.

After a few minutes I gave her pancakes with syrup and butter while I had a full English.

As I sat down with my plate, Koneko was drooling over her pancakes, as if it's a predator looking over their prey.

Koneko: "Arigato Onii-chan!"

She says as she digs into her food. I chuckled at the sight and started eating my own food only to see Kiba and Akeno smile at me.

Dante: "What? Got something on my face?"

I check to see if I have something on my face, they chuckle.

Kiba: "No it's not that Dante"

Akeno: "It's just Koneko acts so differently when she's around you. It's like she's a different person"

I look at Koneko to see she's looking the other way with a pancake in her mouth, she was blushing.

Akeno: "It's kind of cute"
