Unexpected

Chapter Five

Sans' P.O.V.

Tori invited everybody to her and Asgore's house for dinner. Everyone was already there by the time me and Grillby had shown there. As I walked in, Frisk ran up to me and started telling me about her school. She loudly rambled on about Burgerpants and the Nice Cream Guy's food and how that monster kid had used it as ammo to start a food fight within the last week. Then how Dogany and Dogaressa were the ones to stop all of the flying food.

"So what's the special occasion lady Toriel?" Paps asked, sitting next to her on the coach.

"I just wanted to see how everyone was doing." she stated calmly.

We all made small talk after that. Everyone discussed how they had been and what everyone had been up to since the last time we had a party like this.

"So me and Grillby have some news." I started after Toriel left the room to get a game for us to play.

"Really now, and what would that be?" Undyne quizzed me.

"What kind of news?" Toriel joined in as she came back with a game.

"Well, me and Grillby are going-"

"Going to what?"

"Let him finish, please?" Alphys whispered to Undyne.

I paused for a moment before continuing, "Me and Grillby are going to have a baby."

"What!?" Undyne, Toriel, and Frisk all yelled at the same time.

"Dude-- how is that even possible?" Undyne questioned, trying to wrap her head around the news.

"Well, you see Undyne, when two people decide-"

"I know how that part works! I mean, aren't you a dude Sans? Babe, assistance here?"

"W-Well Undyne dear," Alphys started, "in simplistic terms, he h-has the a-appropriate equipment t-to reproduce."

Undyne paused, "and how do you know that?"

"I-I have known that Sans has been e-expecting for awhile. He came to m-me when he f-first found out."

"And you didn't think to tell me about it?!"

"B-Because I was requested n-not to tell anybody! I'm s-sorry Undyne!"

"You guys act like an old married couple!" Frisk groaned as the two continued their small banter.

I chuckled to myself at their little argument. I'm happy that everyone is happy about mine and Grillby's news. Aside from the argument that transpired between everyone in the room that we should have been married before we decided to have a kid, everyone was excited. The party lasted awhile, for the remainder of it everyone sat around playing board games until it was time to leave.

"Hey kid, make sure you do your homework and keep the stories coming next time I see ya." I told Frisk as Grillby gathered our things to leave.

"You sound like my mom Sans," Frisk sighed, "but I will. See ya later!"

I waved to the kid before taking my leave with Grillby. On the way home we talked about how fun it was at Toriel's house, and made an agreement that we should meet up with everyone more often. We soon arrived home around eight. Considering the night was still young, we decided to watch some new movie on Netflix. Afterwards, we talked about our days.

"So Muppet yelled at this woman because she had to tried to walk into the kitchen and complain that her food wasn't any good. She told us that the restaurant was not up to standards and wished us all to hell. The funny part about it all, she was kicked out by a customer."

"That's funny, the way you made her sound she sounds exactly like this girl I work with. Ironically her name is Karen."

Grillby chuckled at that, and looked at me. "Is your stomach hurting?"

"No. Why?"

"Well you keep rubbing your stomach, so I thought I'd ask."

"Oh, I guess I didn't even realize I was doing that."

Grillby rolled his eyes, "Want to head to bed?"
