Sans is five months pregnant now.

Grillby's P.O.V.

As the days drew closer to Sans' five-month mark, so did the gender appointment. I'm very anxious about it, but also excited at the same time. Sans claims that he doesn't really care what the gender of the baby is, as long as they're healthy. Everyone keeps trying to predict the gender (Mettaton and Papyrus swear that they're a girl) but if I'm being honest, I believe that they're a boy. I made sure to take-off from work the day of the appointment.

Counting down the days until the appointment, Sans and I decided on what we were going to do for the baby room. We didn't have the biggest house, so rather than expanding, we decided to make upgrade the guest room into the baby's nursery. I took everything out of the room and put it into the basement. Meanwhile, Sans started the prep-work for the room. Being the impatient guy he is, Sans painted the room in neutral colors. He didn't want to assume the gender of our new child, but couldn't bothered to wait for the reveal, he ultimately went with a design that would fit with whatever our child came out as.

The room was painted in a light yellow with a white accent wall. We didn't have much, but we were able to set up a bookshelf with a bunch of Sans and Papyrus' old childhood books. Then a rocking chair that was in the room prior. The room looked naked, but we would get more things later on down the road.

Sans had been admiring their work in nursery when he had noticed the time. It was almost noon and it was at that moment, Sans' plus one decided that they needed to eat. Making his way down the stairs and into the kitchen. Grillby was already in there once Sans made his presence known.

"Hungry?" Grillby has asked as he had rummaged through the fridge.

"Yeah, but I can wait a minute." Sans smiled, "Are you ready to find out what they will be?"

Grillby looked over at him, "Yeah, I am. Are you?"

"Obviously. What do you think they'll be?"

"I don't care, being honest. My gut is telling me a boy though."

"Even if everybody else is saying girl?"

"Yep."

"Well, boy or girl, I just want to be able to hold them already."

Grillby smiled down at his fiance and made lunch for themselves. He set their food down at the table and the duo began to ravage their meals in a comfortable silence.

"So, you know Christmas is coming up. Is there something that you're wanting?" Grillby asked casually, breaking up the silence.

"I don't know, I haven't really thought about it much. I've never been one to get much on Christmas anyways." Sans responded nonchalantly.

"What? What do you mean by that?"

Sans shrugged, "Growing up, I would always make sure that it was Paps that got the presents for Christmas. It got harder to do when our dad disappeared. I had to work several jobs so that we were good on food and bills. It's okay though, even if it killed me.

Grillby could see that Sans was upset about the scenario him and his brother were in. He had known that Sans never really had a childhood due to having to take care of his younger brother. He couldn't imagine being in the situation himself. Grillby brought Sans into a hug and rubbed at his back, comforting him without the use of words. Breaking away from the hug a little while later, they decided to turn on a movie. Boring them out of existence, Sans made the call midway through that they needed to get their chores done. Grillby agreed, albeit grouchily. Lugging themselves off the couch, the duo got dressed and decided on the most daunting of the chores first. Grocery shopping.
