The next day starts off the same as usual. I go to my ocean rock and observe the fog once again, this much denser. I know we practically live in nature, but why is there so much fog nowadays? I take out my textbook only to find that the pages have become moist and easily tearable. I sigh. The periodic table is now smeared so I can't see the elements as well. As I try to figure out what is what, I hear a splashing noise coming from the ocean.

I look up, startled, but to my dismay and relief, find nothing. Was I imagining the noise or was it actually there? Everyone keeps telling me that I tend to be stuck in my fantasy world most of the time. You see, my 12-year old sister may be smarter than me in most of the classes. Although, I am in a higher study than her, she excels far beyond her own classmates. We only have 3 classes- 1st level, 2nd level, and 3rd levels. Even though, she is currently in the 2nd level class based on her age, she may as well move up to mine. Competition doesn't only take between schoolmates, but siblings as well.

But, I have to believe that I have my own strengths and weaknesses as well and so does she. Instead of thinking that she may be better than me, I think about the ways I can improve myself. I am still stuck in my thoughts when I hear another splash sound. This time it didn't seem like it was in my mind or was it? I actually may be going insane. In the insaneness of the situation reminds me of the village fool. Although everyone else abhors, sometimes I feel like I could sympathize with him, for I know what it feels like to be an outsider in your own home.

As I continue to lose focus yet once again, I see a slimey, green thing crawling out of the water. I rub my eyes and look back at it. Yes, its real, I am not daydreaming this time. What could it possibly be? For around decades, nothing happened in happened in tiny little village, could something interesting be happening right now? I move closer to figure out what it is. I move closer...almost there...

"Kaaya! Come inside. We are having a village gathering." I hear my mother call for me.
