The outer airlock door of the ISS opened. Alison, in her EVA suit, grabbed on to the exterior bar and pulled herself out onto the hull of the station. She placed her feet on the tilted footholds below the bar.
"I'm out of the airlock," she said into her com device. "Engaging magnetic boots."
Alison could hear the magnets in her boots spin up as the LEDs on the sides of the heels lit up green to show active power. The boot snapped flat against the footholds, pulling her upright onto her feet. She stepped off onto the hold.
"Okay!" She smiled. "I'm up!"
"Good job, Alison." Francisco said over the radio.
"I'm releasing myself from the airlock tether." Alison unclipped the cloth covered steel cable from her belt. She took a few more steps forward, holding her arms out to the side to balance herself. "Wow, what a trip."
"Are you okay there Alison?" Francisco asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine," she said. "Beginning my survey now."
Alison step forward and began to move down the outside of the main Access tube.
"So far nothing seems to be out of place... There is some scoring here and there... Nothing major... Hard to tell if this was from the pulse or just normal wear and tear... You're going to to have to ask doc if this was already here..."
"Okay, don't worry about that," said Francisco. "Check the solar panels and the com dish."
Alison looked up and scanned the exterior equipment, but it was the earth that caught her eye.
"Whoa!" Her eyes rolled towards the top of her head.
"What is it? What do you see?" Francisco asked.
"The Earth," said Alison, "we are really high up here aren't we... We must be traveling at twelve... Thirteen... Miles per hour... That's like really fast..."
Francisco let out a chuckle.
"Okay there, Buck Rogers, come on back to the mission before you end up giving yourself an upset stomach."
"It's true," said Alison, "you really can't understand it until you see it yourself."
She brought her head back towards the hull of the ship. She grabbed her stomach.
"Oh, you weren't joking about that either, that's rough," she said.
"Yeah," said Francisco, "if you puke in your spacesuit, you have to buy everyone dinner when we get home."
"I'll keep that in mind." She did her best to shake it off. "All clear on the subsection. Moving to the supersection now."
Alison made her way around the Access tube to the other side of the station. As she rounded the end the sun blared in her face. She dimmed her visor.
"We definitely have some damage on this end... The mechanical arm is bent all out shape... There are some loose panels over at tube six... Going to check it out now..."
She made her way down the hull. As she got closer, she could start to hear the the twisted metal banging and scraping against the station. Her breathing began to quicken.
"Are you doing okay out there, Alison?" Francisco's voice asked.
"Yeah," her voice cracked, "I'm fine. Why do you ask?"
"Well," said Francisco, "if you start breathing any harder, I might start getting turned on."
Alison let out a nervous chuckle.
"Duly noted," she said. "Okay, I'm approaching tube six now. Looks like Yuri was right. Something must have impacted the station... There's at least eight or nine panels ripped off... Seems to just be panels though, not seeing any internal damage..."
She bent down to to look at one of the panels. She bent it up to her helmet. There are claw marks on the panel from where Jason grabbed it.
"What the hell?" Alison reached her hand up and put her fingers in the ripped metal. "I think this was Iron Man. It looks like claw marks."
"Are you sure?" Asked Francisco.
"No, I'm not sure. Could be my imagination. But I'm going to keep checking it out."
"Okay, don't push yourself to hard, we still have plenty of work for you to do inside as well."
"Roger that," she said with a smile as she stood up. "I'll be careful."
Alison turned around and found herself face to face with the one, the only, cybernetically enhanced, Jason Voorhees.
In Jason's hand was one of the exterior hull panels. He wound up like a baseball player and swung the panel into Alison's stomach. Her mouth filled with blood inside the space helmet.
"Alison!" Francisco yelled over radio. "What's happening, your vital information just went offline. Alison! Come in!"
Jason put his hands on the side of Alison's space helmet. He tilted his head to the side to match his eyes with hers as she continued to cough up blood. He lifted his arms and began to pull upward.
Alison's magnetic boots held firmly to the side of the hull. The green LEDs on the sides of the boots burned brightly as the boots went full power.
The metal panel dislodged itself from Alison's midsection and her body began to stretch out until her flesh and spine ripped itself from the lower body. Jason set the upper body afloat in space.
Alison found herself fading away from reality...
No... She thought... No...
With the last of her will, her eyes began to open. She reached down and grabbed onto her own intestines and began to pull herself down towards her own legs.
Jason tilted his head inquisitively.
Alison brought herself back to back face to face with her killer and looked him in the eyes. She reached out to touch his face, but faded into death before she could.
Jason took a single finger and pushed her torso away into space. He grabbed her intestines with two hands and tore them in half, leaving her lower body magnetized to the hull.
Inside the command center, Francisco was panicked. "Yuri, suit up immediately. Alison is in trouble. We're going out there."
