As soon as I got back home, I flopped on the bed and gave out an irritated sigh. Why was this school so full of drama. In my old school, everyone was chilled with each other and nothing particularly exciting happened. But here... well it was very different.

I wen  to my window and pulled open the curtains to let the sunshine warm my skin. But when I did so, someone caught my eye. His t-shirt made my breath hitch in my throat... more specifically the lack thereof. He was in the window opposite mine, my neighbour. He was busy working out and I had to stop myself from drooling. His toned chest and perfect abs flexed with each sit-up. To say the view was spectacular was an understatement. Who was this boy? His blonde locks fell from his forehead, covering his eyes partly. He was hot! His full lips were placed perfectly amongst his defined features. What is happening? One day in NY and I'm already drooling over two guys... stupid teenage hormones!

After tearing my eyes away from my window, I turned around to see my dad in the door frame. Heat immediately crept up my neck as I saw him. "Enjoying the view?" He asked. "Uhmm.. I uh... I... I was just looking outside." I said, flustered because I was just caught spying on a boy . " Yeah, I heard the view is fantastic in this room" he said, walking toward the window. Oh shit, he was actually talking about the view! "No dad, wait!" I tried to block him but it was too late.

He gasped as soon as he reached the window and I reddened even more. But when I went and stood beside him, I was relieved to see and empty room where the eye candy was previously. "Yeah I guess it's all right" I said. And I wasn't kidding, it was pretty cool.

Dad turned around an  looked down at me from his tall stature. "Dinner's ready." He said as he gave me a side hug and together we walked downstairs to eat. And from the smells I got, it was going to be delicious.

I went upstairs to go shower after we washed the dishes. I had an en-suite bathroom which was pretty nice as it was my own bathroom, so I could take all the time I wanted. I let the water wash away all the problems and drama I experienced today. I may have been there for an hour before I was satisfied. So I wrapped a towel around me and went back in my room to climb into my pyjamas. As I finished, I went to close the curtains when my eyes caught his. He signalled me to open my window and he did the same. "Hey" He said. Oh my God the guy I drooled over earlier was talking to me. Not awkward at all. "H...Hey" I said as my cheeks reddened in the moonlight. "You must be the new neighbours. I'm Nicolas, Nick for short." He said with a smile playing on his lips. At the corners of his mouth dimples protruded and I melted internally. How could he have all those looks! "Alicia..." I said, suddenly wordstricken. "Well, nice to meet you." He said, busy closing his window. " Y...you too" I stammered as I did the same. As soon as I closed the curtains I hit my forehead in embarrassment. Why are you so awkward!!

I made my way back downstairs to get a glass of milk, as I always did before going to bed. When I entered the kitchen I screamed as I was surprised by my dad standing there. Dad!! You gave me a fright!" I said , trying to catch my breath and slow my heartbeat. Dad just chuckled and kissed the top of my head. "Goodnight sweetie" he whispered and trudged up the stairs to his room. He was obviously exhausted.

I got myself the milk out of the fridge after 10 minutes of trying to find a glass. After warming it, I went back upstairs and lay in bed, waiting for sleep to envelop me. The first day in New York, and what a day it was. I was busy playing the day in my head from start to finish. I was just about to be thrown with that slushy when sleep finally took over...

Chapter 4. Complete. Another guy in the equation and that means more spice in the future. Who do you think... cold James or friendly Noah?
