I was woken up by sunlight shining through a slit in the curtains. I stretched my sleepy body and rolled to the other side of my bed. But my bed had apparently shrunk because the next thing I knew, I was on the ground.
That's when I realised that I wasn't in my room. I was sleeping in a single bed, royal blue sheets covering the mattress. The walls were painted a crisp white with silver light fixtures and a silver roof fan. My eyes trailed toward the desk in the corner of the room. It was beside a huge window, and the desk itself was packed so neatly that it looked like one of those demo books of furniture stores. There was a bookshelf in the other corner, books arranged according to height with ring binders packed according to colour. This room was so perfect that I was scared to even move. But one question stuck in my head, playing on repeat. Who's room ís this? As I was racking my brain trying to solve it, the bathroom door flung open.
Out came James, dressed in just a towel around his waist. His ripped abs and chest tensed under my sight at the water dripped down his body. His v-line was visible thanks to the towel hanging low, and his arms were crossed in front of him, making them look bigger than they already were. "You sleep well?" He asked, looking at me on the floor with amusement flickering in his eyes. Those pools of honey were staring straight at me, which caused my entire face to turn crimson.
"Uhm, yeah. Just one thing... how did I get here? I didn't, you know... we..." I stumbled and he just burst out laughing. "You called me last night, and then when I arrived at the club, you collapsed in my arms. I didn't know what to do so I brought you to my place. And I slept on the couch, just if you were wondering." He said while pulling a white shirt over his head. And that was when the events of last night played back in my mind. Noah had tried to..... A tear ran down my cheek, but I wiped it away before James could se me. I would much rather prefer to cry on my own than in front of a rude boy in a shirt and towel.
He paused a moment then turned to me. "Can you uhm... turn around?" He asked shyly, and I immediately shot around, surprised that I didn't get whip lash while doing so. I sat there awkwardly, fiddling with my thumbs unsure of what to do with myself. "You coming?" James asked, and I pulled my face a little in confusion. "Breakfast. You're probably hungry." He said, and before I could protest, my stomach growled loudly. "Guess I got my answer." He chuckled and threw me a shirt and pants. I caught it and looked at it in confusion. But I became aware of my attire at that moment, which consisted of my underwear and an over sized t-shirt. James must have seen my self consciousness, as he turned around himself. But wait, was he blushing?? "I'll be in the kitchen." He said quickly and then spun around and bolted out the door.
I slipped into my borrowed clothes and headed toward the lovely smell flowing through the corridors and I soon found myself in front of James, standing behind the stove in an apron and I had to stop myself from busting out in laughter. "What? I have to keep my shirt clean somehow. Now stop laughing or you don't get breakfast. "He said, looking so cute while he was angry. I suppressed my giggles and sat down on a stool. He put a plate in front of me and I almost drooled. It was French toast with sunny side up eggs. Bacon was laced over top and avocado slices finished the piece of art. "I didn't know that you could cook?" I asked and a proud smirk appeared on his lips. "I may have gotten a few tips from my sister." He said and my eyes almost popped out of my head. "You have a sister? How come I've never seen her?" I asked, looking around the house in the hopes of seeing the girl. "She doesn't go to Redwood... she is second year at college. And here she is." He said, walking towards a gorgeous girl standing behind me with luggage bags packed around her. "I thought you were only coming in a couple of days!" He said while hugging her, laughter flowing out of both of them. "I finished classes earlier than I originally thought, so I thought I'd surprise my little brother. But looks like I interrupted something. "She said smirking, looking straight at me. She was the spitting image of James, with the same dark brown hair and strong facial features. Even her eyes were the same.
