Nico On Ice ✔

After an hour or so the gang all stepped off the ice for a drink and some food. Everyone was slightly out of breath but with irremovable smiles on their faces.

"Nico!" Will spoke, "You are really good at ice skating!" he complimented with a slight blush across his cheeks ('Probably from the skating.' Nico said in his mind).

"Oh... Thanks Will. You too."

After a few minutes Percy shouted: "OK lets get back on the ice guys!" before running, and almost falling on the floor, to the rink.

Back on the ice, Nico was doing some simple gliding when suddenly the song on the radio changed.

"I know this song," he thought and his face lit up in recognition. "history. I skated to this for Bianca all those years ago."

"What did you just say Nico?" Jason asked skating towards him. He hadn't realised he was talking out loud.

"Oh, nothing." he mumbled looking down not wanting to reveal his secret.
"OK!" he said before skating off to meet Leo who was melting the ice (on accident, of course).

As the music progressed, Nico started to mumble the words and skate faster.
He turned around and started gliding backwards and the gang stopped to look at him.

However, for the first time, Nico didn't care that they were watching. Instead as he skated past them he smirked before turning and speeding off again.

"...can't stop us now. The moment of truth..."

Nico turned again and got into a prep position for a jump.

"we were born to make HISTORY!"
Nico jumped off his right foot, span three times in the air before gracefully landing back on his right with one arm extended to his right and another above his head.

Everyone was gawping at Nico's effortless jump as he repeated the move again before performing a few small spins and another jump.

As the song ended he slowed down and calmly skated around the rink like nothing happened.

"NICO!" everyone shouted before he stopped in front of them.

They were looking at him with impressed faces and awe.

"What?" he asked causally. He'd gotten carried away and showed off his skills. "That was incredible!" Piper squealed.

"Oh... Thanks, I guess." suddenly shy of all the attention.

"How did you do that?" Percy asked, now knowing why Nico was so excited to go ice skating.

"Umm... I used to skate when I was stuck in the lotus hotel with Bianca but I haven't done it in so many years. I got a bit carried away." he looked down sheepishly.

"Don't be shy that was fantastic! Show us more!!" Annabeth begged with everyone chorusing in agreement.

"OK..." Nico said starting to skate as the next song came on...
