Nico On Ice ✔

III

As Nico reached the summit of the hill he saw only Percy there.

"Hmm, " Nico wondered, "I thought Annabeth said 10." So, he double checked his monster proof phone (courtesy of Leo), and saw that it was indeed 10 am.

Shrugging, he walked over and sat down next to Percy. He still had a small amount of feelings for the green eyed boy but he didn't care about it anymore; they were good friends and Nico was happy with that.

Now, he was focusing on being less selfless and putting himself first; doing what made him happy and the gang were all happy for him.

"Hey." Nico greeted, sitting on the grassy ground.

"Hey Neeks!" Percy greeted as though seeing Nico was the highlight of his day. "Excited for ice skating?!" he asked the son of Hades.

"I guess." Nico shrugged trying his best to hide his true feelings. He didn't want to show off he only wanted to spend time with his family. Nico had recently took to calling his friends (and Hazel, obviously) family and it seemed to fit perfectly!

"Whoa!" Percy said. "Neeks, you're wearing red... And grey! It suits you, it really does."

"Thanks Perce. Hazel said I should try adding more colour to my wardrobe and if she says it I'll do it." Nico replied. "Where is everyone?" he asked.

"Getting food for today. We're planning to be there for the whole day so Annabeth insisted we take food with us."

"Good idea." Nico spoke.

After that they sat in comfortable silence, but Nico noticed how often Percy turned to look at him, until the gang appeared with several bags of food and drinks.

"Ready everyone!" Annabeth shouted.

"Yeah!" everyone shouted back.

With a lot of laughing everyone scrambled into the van and drove to the ice rink...
