haunted houses.

hilarious if you ask jonah. people - and even some monsters - dressed up and hid in tiny corners before jumping at you.

yet he still went to them. as he was approaching townsquare a hand wrapped around his arm and he looked down.

"hey, corbyn." he greeted and the blonde smiled.

"hey, jonah." they both smiled at each other before continuing their walk.

"do you like haunted houses?" jonah asked as they approached one.

"sorta." corbyn replied. his hand slowly slid down and their hands clasped the others. jonah slowly looked down the pale-green against his own. they walked on and soon entered the house.

smoke machines and strobe lights whined everywhere.

"blaaaa!" a monster yelled and a scream was heard. the photos on the walls were moving. a skeleton jumped out and spiders were crawling everywhere. by the end, corbyn was just slightly gripping jonah's hand.

"never gets old." jonah laughed and corbyn rolled his eyes. they walked into the townsquare again. corbyn bought them two caramel covered apples and they munched don those with smiles.

a bat flew down and landed on corbyn's head while a skele-boy appeared.

"hey, guy." jack greeted as he sat down. daniel flew down and landed next to jack before shifting.

"sup, bros." jonah rolled his eyes and offered some caramel and apple to the boys.

"what did you guys do this morning?" jack asked.

"went through a haunted house." jonah replied and corbyn nodded.

"you two became fast friends." daniel stated as he must shed on an apple.

"well, i've been alone and my mom doesn't let me out during the month of October. i've only really known zach." corbyn said and picked at his stick that was stuck in the apple.

"hey, its okay." jonah rubbed his shoulder. corbyn nodded and hid his pale-green hand.

"don't be ashamed of what you are, corbyn. you're you and you are perfect." daniel grabbed his hidden hand and rubbed it. "i mean hell, look at jack. his parents are a skeleton and a human." daniel added and jack hit him with a bone-hand.

"i mean, he's right." jack added after. corbyn smiled with a little giggle. jonah smiled. "and honestly, we needed another friend." jonah and daniel nodded.

"we really did. we can only get enough of eben chasing adam before it gets tiring." daniel retored. corbyn smiled and looked at the boys. mabye this wouldn't be so bad.

as the day was closing, the boys sat down to eat some food as they were having a barbecue. jonah cut and ate a piece of steak. corbyn ate a piece of chicken.

they were all laughing over some stupid joke jack had made. eben was next to daniel and adam was next to corbyn.

"so, i heard you had some...difference than just a human." adam whispered and corbyn nodded. he lifted his sleeve and he saw the stitches. adam smiled lightly. "very beautiful." corbyn smiled. they continued to eat until the sky darked and stars were finally showing.

kid were running around laughing as they should be. teens are pranking elders. it was very lighthearted.

"well, this is where i break off." corbyn said as they came upon the small path.

"oh, really? well, uh-okay." jonah's mood saddened and corbyn smiled lightly. he leaned up and pecked his cheek.

"se eye tomorrow, handsome." with that, corbyn ran off into the darkness. his fddt carried him along the path, but he heard a twig snap and froze.

"okay, haha, zach. leave me alone." corbyn brushed off and kept walking, but then he heard heavy breathing. arms wrapped around him and corbyn yelled before a hand placed over his mouth.

jonah heard and came running down the path, but by the time he got to where the boy was, nobody was there.

just corbyn's "The Nightmare Before Christmas" coat. jonah picked it up and looked out into the darkness.

"CORBYN!" he yelled dout and all that came back, was an echo.
