Halloween Town

13th

daniel pulled on his clothes and shifted. he flew onto christina's head as she ran in the woods. jules was on their flank, many feet away.

daniel whistled and christina stopped. daniel flew upwards and looked around. nobody was guarding eben's hole, but there was at least two at the others.

daniel dove down and landed atop the metal. he waved away the leaves and jules ran over. she and daniel lifted the covering. inside they heard a groan.

"please, i'm sorry."

"e?"

"dani?" daniel flew in and shifted. he stood in front of sitting eben. he lifted him up and saw one hand was pressed against his abdomen.

"are you bleeding?" eben could only nod. daniel cursed and picked up eben. hr shifted and flew upwards. he carried eben by his feet. once above, he laid on christina's back. daniel recovered the hole then they were gone. not a trace.

they got back to jules' house and daniel shifted. he laid eben on a table and got out a needle, dental floss, and some whiskey they had.

daniel stitched up eben then dragged his skin with some alcohol to make sure it was clean. he then wrapped it and eben was panting.

"are you okay? what did they do to you?" daniel asked and eben breathed out.

"it was either me, or jack. so, i let them torture me...for fun." daniel's heart broke. "jack is so frail, and half-bone, so it would be worse for him." daniel hugged eben.

"thank you, e."

"you're welcome, d."

"but that was still stupid." daniel said and eben shrugged.

"chasing after adam is stupid." he joked and daniel laughed.

"hey, but i didn't tell you this." daniel leaned in. "adam loves you, but he's too scared to tell you, so he makes you run after him." eben smiled and daniel smiled back.

"now, we don't know how long it'll take eben to heal, so, what do we do?" jules asked as she approached.

"i can still be a distraction to help get you guys in." eben offered and daniel looked at him with an uneasy gaze.

"perfect."

"now, you need food. what do we want?"
