~Coco's POV~

Izzy was quiet as I helped her to the couch. She murmured a thank you as she leaned back and pinched the bridge of her nose. She then shook her head and carefully got up, shuffling to what I assumed was her bedroom. I patiently waited, a soft smile forming on my lips when she carried Joy out in her arms.

She laid on her side and curled around her child, chin on the little girl's head. She sighed softly and closed her eyes.

"Izzy," I softly say, crouching down, "do you think you can keep any food down?".

"Not really," Izzy murmured softly, "Can I use your leg as a pillow?".

I smile a little more, "Of course, but can you try to eat a little bit of food for me? Or drink a bit of Gatorade? Maybe some Ginger Ale?".

Izzy looked to me and blinked tiredly, but she sat up. She gave a nod as she sighed softly, balancing Joy on her lap. She twitched gently, but I chalked it up to her feeling chilled. She then kissed Joy's forehead before spoke to me again.

"For you; I will try," she softly said, "Just promise no hospitals; I get anxiety badly when I'm forced to go  stay.".

I rub her shoulder, "I'm not going to make you do something you don't want to do.".

Izzy gave a thankful nod, then she closed her eyes. She reopened them as she gave a groan. She laid Joy beside her before she rushed to the bathroom, causing me to follow her.

When I saw her I carefully pulled her hair away from her face. She gave a soft groan in between her bouts of throwing up; but she didn't whine or whimper once.

~Izzy's POV~

I brushed my teeth while Coco tended to Joy. Normally I didn't let others care for my princess, but today I was making an exception. Coco was so caring, so gentle. He seemed different from most of the rough natured humans I had lived around.

He gently swayed with her in his arms, being mindful of how she was feeling. He never jostled her stomach to the point she would've thrown up. I watched them for a few more moments as I leaned against the bathroom door frame, making a mental note to ask if he had any children.

Coco turned around and smiled softly at me, "I believe someone asked to use my leg as a pillow. Does she still wish to do that?".

I cough and giggle at the same time before walking over to him. He carefully sat down, supporting Joy with his arms. I tentatively sat beside him, then I laid on my side. I placed my head against his right leg and hoped a peaceful rest would come to me.

Everything felt so right, but wrong at the same time. I knew Coco was just being a good friend to myself and my child.

Was I falling for someone when I had promised myself not to? If so, did Coco like me in the same way that I liked him? Would someone like Coco want a broken woman?
