~Izzy's POV~

I got up after a few moments and put Joy in her bed, then I went back and sat down on the couch. My hands were shaking gently as I tried to calm myself down, yet I hadn't succeeded. I hug myself and close my eyes.

I softly screech when I barely notice Coco pull me onto his lap. I ready my right hand to slap him, but he softly kisses my temple and says, "You're safe, Little Mama.".

I look up at him and blink gently, a little shocked at the nickname he had given me. I welcomed it though as I relaxed against his chest. I glanced up to him when he kissed the top of my head.

"Izzy, be honest with me," Coco softly hummed, "Did the haunted house scare you a lot?".

I bit my lower lip, thinking of how to respond to his question. I could lie and say it didn't, but my previous actions of hiding my face in his back would've been like a rock to a glass home. I could tell the truth and break down crying like a scared child; fearing Coco would judge me for being weak; or I could say nothing at all.

I tensed a little when he lifted my chin so my gaze met his, roughly biting my lower lip. I could already feel myself start shaking gently, wishing he'd let the subject drop. Next I felt tears streak down my face and my chest feel like an elephant was sitting on it.

"Hey," Coco soothed, "I didn't mean to upset you.". He then added, "It's okay if you had real fear when we went through the haunted house; I felt scared too.".

~Coco's POV~

Izzy curled against my chest again as I told her I had felt scared of the haunted house. I didn't care if she believed me, but it was true; I felt anxious during the jump scares. She then glanced up at me and nuzzled my chest.

Izzy took a deep breath and said, "Yes; I was scared in the haunted house. I thought I'd pee my pants while we were there.".

I held in a chuckle and looked to her, a soft smile on my lips. I noticed Izzy blush as she lowered her head and softly giggled, "You can laugh at me; I'm a big girl.".

I hummed softly, "I will never make fun of a woman for being scared, just as I will never make fun of any man whom is scared.".

Izzy smiled again and softly sighed. She then took a deep breath, "Thank you for everything.".

I hummed in response, "You're welcome.".

Izzy opened her mouth to say something else, but was interrupted by her daughter crawling onto the couch and mumbling about having a bad dream. Both Izzy and I softly smiled before she pulled Joy close.

Can anything get better than this?
