Hey guys, sorry for the delay and for not interpreting most of the conversations in the previous chapter. I hope you enjoy this...
Third person's POV
The hall was decorated beautifully with a number of chandeliers brightening the room so much that one would forget it's night time. The floor had the Wright's signature marble floor with rose flowers at distinct ends. Henrik stood in the midst of some business associates, keeping his replies brief. A waiter passed him and he exchanged his empty glass with a full one.
"You know you're not supposed to be drinking too much tonight," Kelvin scolded but Henrik simply ignored him. He stole another glance at the entrance expecting the limo he sent to Christiana to breeze in any moment.
"Mr. Frederico has been asking you a question for sometime now Henrik." Kelvin said again really concerned about his brother.
"You answer it Kelvin, you know what to do don't you?" Henrik answered and left gulping down the wine in his glass. He walked out of the entrance and stood in the open garage waiting for Christiana. He pulled out his phone about to call his driver when he had a familiar voice call him.
"If I'm the one you're trying to call, don't bother, I'm here." He looked up and saw Killian approach him with a devious smile. Hooked to his arm was a petite blonde. Everybody knew Killian's love for women.
"What are you doing here Killian?" Henrik asked through clenched teeth.
"I was invited, see?" Killian said flaunting his invitation card before Henrik. Henrik sighed, Killian just had to be invited to fulfill all righteousness.
"You better be on your best behavior tonight Killian." Henrik warned.
"Why? Is Tiana here? I'd love to meet her." He said casually and smiled when he noticed Henrik's eye darkening.
Henrik watched Killian go in and it didn't bother him that Killian didn't bother to introduce who he was with to him. He rolled his eyes at them. The kind of girls Killian went out with. He dialled the number of the driver when he felt Kelvin by his side. He looked up and saw him looking ahead like hasn't just invaded his personal space.
"What is it?" Henrik asked getting irritated.
"We were wondering where you were so I decided to check for you here." Kelvin said and gave that his boyish grin.
"Kelvin, I can't count the number of times we've done this anniversary so why are you after me?" Henrik asked his voice rising by the minute. Kelvin was about to reply when the limo drove in. The driver came out and went round to open the door for Christiana. She stepped out of the limo and all breathes around her ceased. Henrik heard Kelvin take in his breath the same time he did and every other thing seemed to be utterly useless. He stared at her and marveled at how the cloth hug to her like a second skin revealing all the endowment she had as a woman, he didn't know the dress would fit her as it did now, it was just a guess but it did. The jewelries she wore shone under the full moon complimenting her beauty and he loved it, he loved what he saw everything. He loved the way her hair was dressed, simple and classic. He smiled when he thought of the fact she actually wore the cloth he got her. He took in another sharp breathe as she made her way towards him, slow but sure steps like she planned to kill him, and he was loving it. His fantasies we're cut short when he saw Kelvin embrace her. When did he leave his side? He lowered his eyes feeling a little embarrassed and blushed. Kelvin said something to her and she smiled, he probably complimented her. Henrik stood there fighting the urge to walk up to them and snatch Christiana's hand from his brother.
"I saw how immovable you were and I decided to help you out." Kelvin whispered in his ears when he and Christy had walked up to him and he smiled a little.
