Rust covered the old lockers of Sutton County High, the only high school for miles, located in our little town, Sunnydale, population: 290. The halls were almost silent, the echoing footsteps of the other teens were the only noise. Everyone here is pretty much quiet and shy, or texting each other on their phones. The teachers are always in their offices when class was out of session, doing whatever teachers do.

"ROBIN SKELTON!" I felt a powerful embrace behind me. Arms wrapped around my neck, cutting off air.

"A-Amy, please stop, I-I can't breathe." I choked, yanking my friend's arms down. I glared at her as she beamed nonchalantly at me.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to!" Amy apologized. "It's been like a week since I've seen you, when I saw you, I got crazy and just had to tackle you."

Amy was always weird like that, but I love her. We've known each other for as long as I can remember, without her, I'd be nothing.

"How was vacation?" I asked her.

"Washington was great, I went to the White House and the Smithsonian. I gotta show you the pictures and videos!" She squeaked happily as she pulled out her smartphone with a pink case. She swept her long pastel pink bangs out of her eyes as she found one of the photos in her phone.

"Heyyy girlies! " I heard Camille's voice. The white-headed girl rushed to us. "You guys going to homecoming?"

Amy and I nodded. "Good! Cause after school, we can go dress shopping!" Camille sounded pretty excited as always.

School went by quickly and I drove us to the Mall. I wasn't exactly a mall...

...it's a thrift store we call the Mall, because our town does not possess a mall.

We slowly searched through and tried on everything. The shop actually has pretty nice things there. Amy found a dress that matches her personality, a poofy pink dress that went down to her knees. Cam discovered a black sleeveless dress. Lastly, I found a gray bandana styled dress with a bow at the back.

Total of money: $35
